ran out of fuel with 725 injectors? at 330whp? what the hell. maybe you are running out of fuel pump. my 740's work around 55% at about the same power level

Did you read?

That's because he's on E85 fuel!
It requires more fuel when tuned on E85, FYI.

I'm not sure what type of dyno but I'm sure it was pretty much on point since that's what I was thinking my setup would make at 15 psi and I hit it on the dime lmao

I just orderd id1000cc injectors and a aem 320lph pump , going to try out maybe 16 or 17 psi and pretty much get me to 350to the wheels because I know the turbo opens up at 17 psi so that's were I would get a big jump, anyways I got Id725cc for sale if anyone is interested lol

I saw a car put down 400+ RWHP (dynojet) at 19psi on pump 93 with BC 264 cams and the 2871r 86a/r but it was leaning out to 17:1 by 6900rpm so I never got to see it finalized. I think it would do over 420rwhp but this remains to be seen /sigh

I really REALLY hate that 91 is the best thing we have at the pump here, with the nearest e85 pump being 2 hours away. There is one pump with 110 unleaded and 112 leaded, but that shit costs almost 7 bucks a gallon.

I've been playing around with e70 and I can tell you, shit gets real! I have yet to tune my own car on it though, it's tempting as hell.
I would have to get that flex fuel kit and a nistune reprogram, Yada Yada Yada!

E85 station is about 17 miles from my home, it's on my way to work so it's a win, win situation for me.

The fuel is awesome! Period!!!
I dont have to worry about detonation because of it being high octane.
I will never go back to 91 pump, unless I'm running a stock daily SR.
There are several E85 stations in SoCal, in L.A. And O.C. Areas.

I would not tune my car on that piss 91.

Oh and I have a 100 octane station 5 miles from me, but it's $9.00 a gallon... WTF!! Lol

E85 is average $2.60 gallon

Yeah the closest E85 pump is about a four hour round trip...

Has anybody else succesfully ran Water/Meth with a PowerFC other than the one SuperStreet car that Koji tuned? I know it can be done, but haven't seen it done but once.

Koji has tuned a few water/meth Sr motors with Pfc.
I talk to him occasionally, and he did mention that to me.

If you need more details I will see him in a couple weeks, and can get some good info for us.

Hey I would really appreciate it! I have his number and have exchanged some text before, I just really don't like to bother people with all my questions lol. I would guess that with the pfc and meth, you would have to have the same exact mixture 100% of the time? And if i've researched correctly, meth injection is usually load (vacuum/boost) based, so basically if you just cruise around town it isn't getting injected at all?

This is where the power comes from, so I can't just give mine away. I can tell you, that most e85 blends(mixtures) differ from winter to summer. So you could benefit from at least 2 tunes, if you're using it for the performance.

Lol, so many people hit up Koji for questions. I'm being serious it's like an every day thing! I'm sure he can get annoyed by it at times, but if you a regular customer that often gets tunes from him, then it's all good.

Koji deff knows his stuff, he is Mr. Know every thing, he is legit as they come. The guy works on Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche , and GTR's on daily basis.

I will ask him how to tune PFC with water/meth injection.
I should see him in a couple weeks, as I'm going to get my Sr20 gt2871r retune when I head over to shop.
You want to know more, PM me and I will ask him.

What's up guys, I'm a newb when it comes to engine tuning and reading dyno graphs etc etc. I had my first dyno last year on a land and sea, here's my graph with my setup, don't mind the afr I ran open downpipe and it kept spitting out the sensor


S15 t28
15 psi spiking to 17.75
jwt s4 cams
nismo 740cc
aem ems running map
Greddy ebc


I recently swapped turbos to a gtx2871r and had the same tuner re map my ecu, this time it was on an eddy current mustang dyno


Same everything besides the gtx turbo @ 18 psi spiking to 19

My tuner told me his dyno reads 15% less than the land and sea I was originally on, I don't know why the print out says 305 but on the computer screen it read 312 whp which converts to 358.8 if I were on the land and sea dyno. So my question to you zilvians, from just the graphs alone can you tell if this is a good/decent tune? The car rips it's fun to drive but I'm mainly concerned about the reliability of my sr since I beat the shit out of it on track days. My tuner tried to overheat my car on the dyno and it wasn't happening, he said I should be fine on track days since it's well cooled. Not sure if pushing 18 psi is smart on a stock bottom end, but I figured I'd ask anyways if a re tune is needed.

I tuned my stock sr on the older gt2871r not the gtx, I made 405 at 20 psi your number looks a bit low

Honestly numbers don't really mean much since all dynos and weather conditions effect the output, but my tuner knows I drift the car and constantly bang red line so his main concern was being "safe". Im just looking to see if anyone's knowledge can tell me if there's a kink or flaw in the tune or my setup itself

Has anyone tried the new hks ss-cams?





According to their website. The specs for their new revised step 1 cams are 256 with a 11.5mm lift. More aggressive than the old step ones. Now i know ramp rates play a huge part on performance. That being said. How do you think the new ss-cam would perform in comparison to jwt s3 or s4? Seeing as the specs on paper come close to the s3, would the ss-cam be able to bounce at 8000 rpm with stock srings like jwt cams? Or would you suggest uprated springs? Could 350hp be easily netted with the ss-cam on a .64ar 2871 stock intake manifold and "codyace special" exhaust manifold on a heart breaker dyno dynamics?

Before anyone asks: what boost level, ecu, supporting mods, etc. Lets be within reason here.

GT2871 USERS. SR motor

I broke 400 with Tomei step 1 cams at 20 psi .64
Sorry this was also with e85 but the tuner told
Me the timing wasn't aggressive anyways

And that's because the turbo was blown/ oil inside the conpressor housing when the tune was over it was a used turbo anyways, that has already been replaced
