what kind of setup do you guys have for your real cars vs gt5?
interestingly enough, i have an s14 that drifts slow (both irl and gt5 haha) ive setup the gt5 s14 to match. 10/8kg springs, dampers at middle setting. -3.5*front camber, -1* rear. also final drive ratio set to 4.363 i did this for a realistic drift setup. but seems as though i cant keep up with you guys. sup wif dat?! |

i dont have an actual setup on my car...
my gt5 car is pretty "realistic" assuming i'm running megans or some soft setup. 6/8 springs. mid damps. camber 2.5/0.5. my car is also pretty light on mods. stock internals and turbo. just the intake, exhaust, ecu. diff lockedd all the way. and obviously suspension. outside of that its pretty stock. oh and it can still keep up with a good grip of cars |

^i want to see/try!!
i had a great day of drifting today, even though it probably made me look like an asshole for the most part. it was a team vs team match that i interrupted but in the end both teams wound up trying to recruit me. i raped almost all of them except for a guy in a TVR who put up a VERY good fight that seemed endless. that match was settled on tuscana, neither of us knew the course. lol. i didnt expect to drive the Alfa well enough to make clean passes. lots need to be worked on though. |

I am so pleased. After days and days of tuning, I've finally got my S13's to not suck at grip driving. And without a bunch of tuning gimmicks like unrealistic weight distribution or weird toe settings. It's quite simple actually, but still very agile & fast.
Also, found a new feature in the online lobby (new to me, at least). I never knew you could sort the rooms by the type of racing in them. For example: I could sort out Real racing from free run & drift rooms. I found some rooms with some epic street car racing tonight... |

know what sucks? When you know you're going to be away from your ps3 for a long time so you decide to man up and do a 24 hour b spec race, but when you return home you find your ps3 off. I left the 2 hour power save thing on......

sorry about vanishing like that. lol.
i ninja'd the ps3 sry thoughtless i didnt get to you. everyone was trying to get me to run with them so i was doing 30 mins each in order of who messaged me. lol. killer. those mercedes are redic fast. supercars...ugh... i was running the TVR before getting to ur lounge and was runningslightly faster runs than the NSX. and i feel more comfortable in it than the NSX. best part. i dont have to worry about hitting the rear against any walls. it rounds off just enough to not hit walls. lol. |

^ After you left everyone started copying me and NRz_Mercer... We had a lounge FULL of SLR Mclarens, being that I was the host... I couldn't resist starting a race.
I'm rockin' the black SLR.

after messing around with the course maker i almsot got exactly what the one guy had on that room. so when ever you guys wanna play ill open a room to try it out .. lol the hill is literally soo steep that your wheels spin out the whole way up almost... so i just advise right when you start to pull a U turn and just go reverse on the track.

Ok. Just bought a 458 Italia... Damn. Not as fast as the SLR, but it handles EXACTLY how I like it to. Easily becoming my favorite drifting car and I've only been using it for an hour so far... Epic!!!

Ill stick to my 240sx haha but yeah i made another level with that similiar down hill touge action its pretty fun.
Also, for trying different cars to drift the camaro ss is fun but very in control. You can pull some pretty crazy angles with it and recover easily.

Yep, its official. 458 Italia is the car for me. Lags slightly on shifting 3rd/4th but this car suits my drifting style entirely. It feels like a combination of the FD + NSX.

Usually what i do when i have that issue.. i just shorten 3rd and 4th so they are really close then have 5th original ration and so forth. but i love 3rd n 4th close it just feels right to me.

I finally got a new playstation a week or 2 ago. Just started Gran Turismo 5 for the first time yesterday. fuuuuck it took hella long to update. haha.
drifting in this game is super fucking easy, and I'm loving the steering angle. But its disappointing seeing recycled cars with gt4 graphics. haven't really been paying much attention to this thread, but now i have a reason to. haha |

This game blows so much cock. grip driving mid and rear engine cars is so damn frustrating in this game. lol. You really can't have fun with this game unless you have a steering wheel set up of some sort. waited 5 years for this unfinished half assed junk??!?! what a waste.
back to Forza 3 I go. |

I haven't tuned any mid or rear engined cars in GT5 yet, but I hated tuning them in GT3 & 4. But now I really wanna make a cool MR2 so Imma give it a try soon. Hopefully 4door_life is just a crappy tuner & these cars actually don't suck.
