SR20 Ponderous no spark on one coil. HELP
So I am getting no spark on any coil connected to the front pistons harness. I have swapped coils, checked the voltages and ground while running. Getting ground on black and 12v on the other 2 wires via a test light that pokes in the wires. I cleaned the connector and verified it is passing ground and voltage to the pins in the connector. What am I missing? I am getting the same readings on all 4 cylinders but the front simply won't spark. I can take the same coil out and plug it into a different location and it sparks. Seriously confused.

I would also check the ground on the battery, make sure it's fully charged, and check your fuses. I couldn't get my car started a few weeks ago and I dived so deep into cam sensor, crank sensors, a million fuel tech ECU settings, and all I needed was to replace a 15A fuse and she fired. Good Luck!

Would the cam sensor cause only 1 coil not to spark?
Also, why am I getting the same voltage readings on the one that doesn't spark as all the others. Ground on black, 12v on the other 2.

How do I go about checking the ecu?

It sounds like you checked for continuity. The CAS sends signal to the ECU which in turns fires the injectors and coilpacks.
You can throw a known working CAS at the plug and spin it and it will fire off the cylinders. I had a CAS drop two injectors in a fresh swap and went round and round checking wiring before figuring out it was the CAS itself not sending signals. You need noid lights to really test for the signal as a conventional test light won't fire in time. |

Is there a way to test the CAS?
