Power Steering Banjo Bolt for CA18DE
I apologize if this has been asked before and if this in the wrong section. I searched but didn't find anything.
Is the banjo bolt for the pump pressure hose M18? Is it the same as the SR20? *1990 S13 Coupe w/ CA18DE Last edited by MrBlackFL; 01-25-2023 at 08:53 PM.. Reason: added car info |

Yes. It's part number 01619-00011 (checked on the JDM parts fiche for the CA18 Silvia) which cross references to like 99% of Nissans from the '80s, '90s, and early 2000s, and even up to 2019 in the Titan and Frontier:

GKTech makes ones that fit and actually seal with the rubber o ring. Years ago (like 10 lol) there was a writeup on here but the actual fittings that you put into the rack were not the right length so despite it having o rings, there wasn't anything available that was long enough to actually seal. I used a copper crush washer and tighten it down a ton and never had leaks, but a few years ago actually swapped over to the GKTech ones, and no issues either, and price is very reasonable.

Yes, most aftermarket rack side fittings are wrong but the GKTech ones work.
I feel like braided PS lines in a KA/SR/CA powered street car are one of those things people often do when the stock line leaks thinking a 30 year old line leaking is a design flaw rather than just a wear item, then they ironically buy a part with a known design flaw as a replacement. In my S13 I just run an OEM-spec-aftermarket S14 high pressure line. It's one piece from pump to rack, perfect fit, zero leaks in my PS system along with a new O-ring on the return loop hardline fitting and new rubber hoses to the reservoir. Ideally I'd run a new OEM high pressure line but I don't think they exist. |

These are the fittings you need for the rack fittings.. He was on Zilvia awhile ago. These are EXTENDED so that they are a bit longer and have the rubber washer.... Great product and support somene from zilvia.
