s14 driveshaft problemo!

95 s14 ka24de auto to 5 speed swapped car.

got my swap in and proceeded to install the d/s and to my dismay it is like 4-5" too long. i used my original d/s that was in the car (auto), i replaced the front half with what was supposed to be a 5spd one but it is identical to the auto front half.

What is going on here.. what front half d/s do i need? I am considering having it cut down locally and re balance but i am scared the center support may make noise.

Also, I see on the yoke that goes IN the transmission has a master spline so it will only go in one way. Being my 5 spd trans is installed and bolted up i cannot see if the 5spd has a master spline or not that would let the shaft go in any-which way.

i am sorry to have made this post but i did get the bitch running and complete besides this d.s issue.

Just buy a 1piece driveshaft and be done with it.

i guess i am screwed and forced to buy a 1pc steel shaft from shaftmasters.com

it is 317 shipped and it seems like the most reasonable choice.

You're not screwed... You chose to spend money on a bunch of shit you didn't need yet, prior to getting the car running. Lesson learned, get your shit running and drivable before you mod it.

Besides, you'll be happy that you don't have to deal with the two piece driveshaft and the center carrier bearing that could've likely been trashed.
