s14 3-piece Rims/Wheels Experiance

I'm considering buying some 3-piece wheels for my car.

Im looking to hear about your experience with 3-piece wheels of any brand; Stories about what it took for your barrels to become dented, cracked, or any other issues you may have ran across would be greatly appreciated.

Im concerned since I commute on the I-5 120 miles daily, and for anyone that hasn't passed through here there are alot of potholes or uneven patches in the asphalt all around the bakersfield area. I do plan to drive with more caution, but Im still sure that I will not react fast enough to avoid everything I encounter on the road.

I know that you may know where to search for stuff like this, but i had no luck.

all wheels bend or break.

just don't be stupid and pay attention to the road.

i used to daily my 14 with 215/35r18's and didn't have any issues. You just know you can't drive down certain roads fast. Kinda like rail road tracks.

Tires also absorb impact of the rd. So if a tire is XL rated, then that would be better than a tire that doesn't.

Just treat them like any other wheel with a low profile tire so just avoid pot holes

Or dont run rubber band tires...Dont stretch and run undersized tires if you're too scared of fucking up your rims.

Get quality brand rims, they have a tendency to handle the abuse better than knock offs. Also, doesnt matter if you have a 1 piece, 2 piece or 3 piece rims...most folks dont just replace the barrels when they get dented. Most repair shops can fix them, whether they're cracked or bent.

If you are on 5 stay in the fast lane as much as you can since it tends to be in better shape.

As said prior, if you dent them a shop will fix it. If they can't, at least you can replace the barrel / lip easily.

I do stay on the fast lane but people are A-HOLES flashing thier highbeams, I try not to move for no one.

I need a decal that says "too low for the slow lane"

I not going planing to run streched tires

OP - Cast wheels bend or crack, forged wheels bend or crack, everything has it's breaking point. It's seriously impossible to say that one wheel is more resistant to road hazard damage because it's entirely situational. Just get the wheels you like and be careful!

Enkei type rc

Let me know what sizes you have and what your running them on. Found a set from a neighbour that's getting polished powder coated and painted. They own a wheel shop so they come up with crazy shit. They offered methemoglobin for cheap all down up just would like to see someone else rock these
