DIY LED Tail Lights
I don't know if these videos have been posted here before, I couldn't
find them in the search. I wanna have a go at this these bad boys, but I wanna get people's input and help. The first video is pretty decent, but the LEDs are too big. YouTube - s13 LED tail light project low light test Write up is in the description, but you need to register to see it. This is what really got my attention. The LEDs look very subtle and uniform. YouTube - 240sx S13 LED tail lights LED test SALE by cincitydesigns.com Also an S2000 tail light that looks gorgeous. YouTube - Honda S2000 tail light testing cincitydesigns.com Sorry, I don't know how to embed the videos. I'd just like to know what size the smalls one are if anyone knows, and where would be a good place to buy them from? Thanks!

Looks hot. Were those panel bought like that or did you cut them to that size?
Cause I wanna do mine like the coupe tail lights in the video with the really small LEDs.

well since rx7 uses round lights, = 4 inch round truck big rig led tail lights , cut out of the housing and glued in. Then its just soldering the wiring and resistor for the turn signals.

i've always liked the idea of lighting up the "240sx" on hatches, and then shaving the third brake light. i shaved the light on my hatch anyway, but never installed a third brake light. kinda dumb.

This is not a full write-up. I basically did the whol oven thing so i can put my LEDs so have a look
Uhaul tail light .... thx jonathan You then take it apart. This is the kind wer thers 3mm LEDs facing down to a reflector, that I think gives it a better light out put. Then you do the whol oven thing ... I did 385 for about 4mins ish... all I ask is that you pay attention pls.. if ur not .. this happens ..lol. hahahahha ok.. so after many tail lights .. I finally go it .. Then i just put my LEDs in side screw them down. and this wat is looks like. Yup. and that was that.... Tell me wat you guys think.. hope is good, but if not your welcome to Hate....---- stayup--

Might just be the camera but the first two pictures look stock...I was going to do this but then that stupid reflector part in the middle would mess everything up.

I don't like spiderlone's version. The shape of the lights don't fit the lens shape.

I've done some led stuff on my car,but I havn't tried anything on my tailights because of the reflector in the lens. I just don't think there's a way to create a nice light pattern with that reflector in there. I've thought and talked about modifying altezzas or making a new lens, but havn't actually done anything.
I converted side markers and front signal/ park lights btw. |
