Exclamation Problems with my S13, any help is appreciated.

I think I might've ran into electrical problems with my s13.
I had bought the car not running, thinking it could be a quick fix.
Power ran throughout the car (front and rear lights worked, dash lit up, everything,) but the car itself wouldn't start.
Every now and then it would try to turn over but now it doesn't even do that.
I'm new to 240's, but to start with, I assumed it was either my spark plugs, spark plug wires, alternator, distributor or my starter.

I wasn't getting any spark while testing it with a screwdriver so I changed my old ass spark plugs and changed the spark plug wires as well. Still nothing . . . so I bypassed those 2, as well as my battery. I had a friend come test it with a volt meter. Moved onto the starter, switched it out for a new one and it still wouldn't turn over unless I directly connected it to the battery but yet the engine did not start. All fuses are still good too!

Does anyone have an suggestions before I decide to send it off to the shop???

Thank you!
