The cops prob tried to push him off.
Nah just kidding. You hardly ever see a good thread on cops doing a good job. Only the negative gets reported. I know helping people is what they get paid for but only the bad ever seems to make head lines. |

Lol. Those guys dont put their lives on risk everytime they're on duty. Obviously some people doesnt need much recognition when theyre doing their job but others do, specially when theirs a lot of risk involve.

What if that dude were to land on someone else that was down there? Or some little kid were to be walking by right as the dude landed. I'm kind of with you on the whole suicide thing, but if it's something that could potentially hurt others I think the police are doing the right thing by stopping him.

Did you guys know that they used to execute suicidal people?
I find that darkly hilarious. @karl - the last few people that tried on the GG survived i believe

Trying to kill oneself by jumping off a bridge that has water underneath seems kind of dumb. There are plethora of other ways with 100% chance of success. Go take a nap on the train tracks or something.

The golden gate bridge is really high so the percentage of deaths per attempts is probably like 98%. And like Yuta said, it doesn't leave a mess.

Well, now that this thread is derailed just a quick message for everybody: if you're going to commit suicide, that's cool dude - I am not gonna judge you, but please take five minutes to consider just one simple thing, how can you do it in a way that inconveniences people the absolute least? Keep it clean, don't jump off anything if you don't own the property. inform the authorities immediately previous to suicide so you don't smell up the whole damn apartment complex.
