Boost solenoid sticking in cold weather
I read about this happening to a few people and it seems to be my problem as well. When its below freezing and I first start driving my boost is only wastegate pressure. But after getting all the way warmed up it jumps back up to 17psi which is where I have it set. This is with an external wastegate and greddy profec b spec II. Anyone else ever seen this happen?

This could be caused by a small amount of condensation freezing inside the solenoid causing the solenoid plunger to stick. It would take only a very small amount of ice to stick the plunger, you may not even be able to see any condensation after it was warmed up.

Maybe consider moving it either closer to the exhaust manifold or relocating it closer to the exhaust during the winter time.

Have you ever used one of these? In all honesty are these any different than the $3 micro lawn mower filters at the autoparts stores? Just curious because the picture looks almost 99% identical to the micro fuel filters for lawn equipment.
