Ok, I just betted a couple of my friends that I'm going to beat them in a race..The mods on my car...atleast in a couple of weeks...is an injen intake, and the exhaust that I will hopefully get, the tanabe G Medallion. BUT, I have an automatic. One of my friends, which has a 94 toyota corolla..LOL has a k and n filter charger on his car, but nothing else. its an auto. My other friend has a 96 chevy cavilier, its a stick. I betted them each 20 dollars that I will kick their ass in a heartbeat, but I hope I am right. ( or ill be out 40 dollars)
I'm pretty sure that I will beat the corolla, I beat him once, and thats without all my stuff that I will have on, but now he has that filter charger...but I can still probably beat him easily withouth all my stuff. The cavilier might be a little harder, since he has a stick shift. Everyone keeps telling me that he will beat me, but they don't know about all my "new" stuff.. But there might be a chance that my stuff won't be ready by then, but hopefully, i can make him wait a couple more days. So..who do you think is goign to win? Who will win? |

My money is on you <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
You've got to win for team 240. Just watch out for the cavalier...they're actually pretty spunky cars stock. My dad had a corsica v6 and that engine comes in the cavalier. Let me tell you that a 3.1 v6 packs a punch. If he's got the 2 litre....don't sweat it....no contest. |

I think you've got a good chance at winning. How good of a 5-speed driver is the Cavalier owner? It probably doesn't matter--you've got a 240SX and he's got a Cavalier--you'll win! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> Good luck!

I have a 95 SE, and she can't even keep up. If you lose t eithe then u are doig something wrong. Good luck, and makes us proud!!!!! |

The Celica will probably even beat you in the twisties. Those things handle unbelievably well. There was a stock 2001 Celica kicking everybody's ass (including an NSX, modified Miatas, and Porsche Boxters) by at least 5 seconds at SCCA events. They're awesome cars when it comes to handling.

Celica's are really THAT fast? I did not know that. I've raced several stock preludes and from my experience...if you are stock like myself, you will spank it 0-60...just after 60mph that v-tech kicks in and woosh....gonzo.
95240sx....pump those cars and pump em gud. ***you got a lot of pressure riding on this....gotta save face <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> |

96240SX, I think you have both those races in the bag.
STOCK240sx, I don't know about the audi and lexus, but the prelude, celica gts, and accord v6 will take you. The i-4 accord will be an easy win. |

You *Should* win depending on how well of a driver he is. Experiment with starting off the line. Hold the brake down and push the accelurator down some so you can get a small jump off the line. Im not sure if this helps or not but give it a try before the race just to make sure. You should win if you have your Injen and Exhaust. Just hope it isnt the z24 Cavalier.

Wow, you just made my day West. I am anxious because I haven't put the turbo in yet, but by next week it should be in. There is a stang that always drives by thinking he's hot stuff and I want to see the look on his face when I pass him.

96240sx: Yes that is my car. I wanted to link up a picture I had on overboost, but this one is more recent. It looks like beast, now I'm trying to get it to run like one. It takes alot of research to build the KA. I have been talking to different people and getting advice from turbo KA owners. Chris May from executive clean car is a really cool guy. He knows ALOT about the motor and his is in the 400+ range.

Well, I had the car painted and the kit installed at the same time so it was a package thing, so I can't tell you for sure

What are you guys talking about? I have a completely stock 240sx and can stay dead even with 94 and older mustang GT sticks, newer auto GT's, can beat trans ams and accords aren't even a challenge neither are preludes even ones with HEAVY mods. But i have been told my car is a friek because even 240 owners can't beleive how fast my car is. I ran 15.12 @ 95.1 mph at the track COMPLETELY stock.
