Turbo lug pattern differs, solutions?
THE SITUATION! Sadly.. My t25 was done! Pahaa
Okay well, because of this.. i bought an m24 .48a/r (I know its tiny but need something till i move up) t25 turbo from an 300zx, which has twin turbos. I switched all the lines so everything fits, except for the downpipe. This turbo has a 4 bolt pattern compared to the sr20's 5 bolt pattern. So, the downpipe cannot attach to the turbo. What do i do? Can i possibly make one? Solutions? This downpipe has a sensor, so how would i do all of this? Where can i buy the one i need, etc? I'm very low on budget due to rebuilding the engine, and the turbo was my problem lmao, CHECK EVERYTHING before you take an engine out& apart, learned the hard way But really, Whatsup? THANKS!!! The old t25. 5 bolt pattern. The newer one, 4 bolt pattern, 5 bolt pattern gasket on to show difference. |

1st of all, you can resize your fucking pictures
2nd, you can either take it to a shop or find an adapter flange. Im sure many people have run into this before so they have em available

I'm sincerely sorry, May you please tell me how to resize photos? Never have tried to figure it out.
And Would you be able to explain the adapter flange solution more thoroughly if you can? Sorry, and thanks! |

buy a flange like this (this is just an example not the exact one you need)
and a weldable bung for the sensor and ask a shop (or if you have the tools and skill) to make you a custom dp from the turbo all the way down to your exhaust or cat. i would think that be the only way unless there a donor car out there that fits that 4 bolt pattern and lines up with the SR dp.

youp it will be cheaper to get another T25 than buying flanges for a custom elbow for such a small turbo thats only temporary

Words of advice: Don't own a modified turbo car if you don't have a good or reliable source of income. I'm not saying you need to be a doctor, but with no job and no cash, I'd strongly suggest getting a reliable 'work' car or working anywhere to support it. I'm certain your town has a fast food joint or chain store that could use holiday help brother, give them a shot

I appreciate your good words, and i'm picking up a t25 with barely any shaft play tonight for 50. I lost my job due to economy and spent my last 3 grand into this car. I have the financial aid of my parents( Christmas gift i guess) and the support of freinds, Thanks!!

GOod stuff on the turbo, but ifr anything, I can only stress to all of us to never blow 'everything' we have into one thing...you don't want to be in a situation where you are working to support a habit (cars/drugs/rocknroll/etc)...always keep some saved 'in case' of times just like this...the last thing anyone wants is to be down on luck and having nothign really to show or support from it.
Just some future advice with cars...I'd strongly suggest keeping 500-1000 in a seperate account and simply not EVER touching it, just let it be in the event something bad happens.

Amen, brotha codyace... Amen, lol
You WILL break something, all you can do is maintain the car well and hope it's something inexpensive that breaks.

You can make a photobucket account, or any image hosting site, if you wan't to have them online in a album. Or you can use tinypic.com if you want to upload it for 1 time use The adapter flange, if im correct, is like a 4x114.3-5x114.3 spacer. You would bolt up your turbo to the proper bolt pattern, then you would bolt up the entire thing to the down pipe with its proper pattern. After reading through, i guess this isn't the best option cause you can always swap out the housings and have spent almost 0$ but it's always a choice. Good luck op, hope you figure it out what? I gave him help. I just said resize his pictures
