Wrapping is expensive unless you are going to DIY, and doesn't look nearly as good. A good paint job will last you the lifetime of the car where a wrap has a lifespan limited to the type of vinyl you are using.

Well see im building the car to drift and I want the car to look good but at the same time i dont really want to put an expensive paint job on it and then go out and scrape a wall or something and have to deal with all the trouble of fixing the paint and stuff. where a wrap would be easy to reapir if that did happen

Ohh look its this thread again!
Wrapping it is good if you think you will be crashing a lot or your kit will get knock off alot. Paint is good if you don't plan on doing any of that because you wont do tandem, and take safe lines. Either of them can look very good, it just depends on the materials used.

Wrapping for our car is easy. Its the material that gets pretty expensive too. Since our cars doesn't have a lot of lines (stock panels, then its fine.... But certain stuff like bumpers is going to be a pain in wrapping. Fenders, hoods, doors, roof, trunk, are all easier. Wrapping bumpers, side skirts, rear bumpers, is going to be a pain.
I have tried doing it and seen it done. Wrapping a car is really like putting on decals, except you don't use water and use a torch.

It is possible to have a nice vinyl wrapped car up close.
Problem is people are too cheap to do it, and it can cost just as much as a paint job.

Paint your car a color that you can buy in a can from any hardware store. Then you can touch up the paint whenever you want. Plus it will help prevent rust as opposed to helping rust flourish.

If you want a crazy graphic/color scheme go with a wrap. When you get sick of it peel it off and you'll still have a minty pant job under the protectant, wrap, you had on.

We do wraps here where i work and it doesnt look to bad. also 3M just came out with some new wrap material that does have a metallic finish to it and it looks like the real thing. But honestly i would still go with paint considering it runs about 2500 and up depending on the material you want. Most of the people that get it are pretty wealthy people who like to change the color of there car alot, or they wanna do carbon fiber wraps on the hood, roof shit like that
