KA help auto transmision stuck in park!!!!!

so i was driving back home from work and my auto transmission gets stuck in gear and keeps rolling when i put in park, kept switching through the transmission through the gears then it gets stuck in park so i turned the car off, now it is stuck in park and will not engage into any gear but i can shift through the gears but makes a grinding noise like something broke what is it i usually drive stick but im broke and working temp jobs so need the car available asap thank you

Check the linkage from the shifter to the transmission. It's a metal rod, it might've come off or you bent it.
