Reverse Lights not working

Okay I've searched and searched this and other forums but none seem to answer my question. I did an SR20DET swap on my 1993 s13 240sx with a s13 SR20DET. My S13 was manual from the factory so that's not an issue. My reverse lights were working when I have the KA24DE engine and trans in it. but when I swapped in the SR the reverse lights no longer work. I'm using the lower harness from the KA trans and the sensors from the KA tran since they plugged right into the harness. My thought is that maybe the SR trans doesn't work with the KA reverse light sensor/switch. Can anyone help or confirm this, or if you've had this problem and fixed it.

You probably have the reverse switch in the wrong location.

Did your fuse blow after you did the SR swap?

No. Just blew one day and I don't know the reason. After I replaced it, it hasn't blown again in the last 3+ years.

Disconnect the reverse switch from the harness, jumper the connector with a wire, turn ignition to ON, lights should work. Do any other lights work?

All the other lights work. I'll try this tomorrow if it isn't raining anymore. I'm gonna check the fuse today.
