Hey guys
I have searched on this subject
Im rebuilding my s13 sr20det
I know the oem bearings have diff tolerance
But the std aftermarket bearings are same for the set

Im only looking for 300hp at the most and want reliabitly as long as i can
Would going oem be better so i have those diff tolerances or go
aftermarket that will have the coating on them but wont have those same clearance

Any info and insigt would help
Thx

factory, std, and acl make good bearings. all depends on your tolerance. i know a handful of people who run acl and never had any problems.

I know each factort bearing has its own tolerance(diff grades)
So how can the aftermarket bearings work when their standard size(all 4 r same sizes)
Wouldnt that mean one will have more oil on it than another?
Thx

you should do a line bore if you want to use std bearings, imho

Yea i plan on doing the line bore
But im still confused
Oem bearings have different clearances
So how does aftemarket std bearings work when they all have same clearances

Wouldnt that mean one will have more oil film for the crank to ride on than the other....i dont get it
Plz help thx guys

Blueprint what clearance you'll have after the line bore and double check with an fsm
