So... I tried to use some "better" tires, but I think the Pirelli P8000's I used were worse than the Yokohama snow tires I had on before. Maybe the Dunlop SP5000's will be better.

Too much power and a 400 treadwear tire (didn't realize till after... doh) made for a lot of smoke

Screw that.... I may just run some Goodyear F1 GS-D3's since I can get them much easier ;)

Anyone want a pair of Pirelli P8000's or Dunlup SP5000's?? 225/50/R16 in size....

I gotta start clearing out some of these....

Yeah, seems like popularity is growing. The event was like twice as large as the previous month's event.

The "track" wasn't setup as well as the previous event either, IMO. Seemed like there were more turns and the course flowed a lot better before, compared to just a few sweepers with some weird straight sections that seemed to confuse more than a few drivers this time around....

I drove it in between shooting you guys driving it.

I felt that it was a looser course more for guys on their first event. I would think you guys with turbos would like it. It left you plenty of room to smoke those tires.

I drove Erik's car and it was a lot of fun. I am stuck in NA land and like tighter courses with more turns.

I did have a blast though. Next month is going to be insane.

Looks fun. Who hosts these drift auto-x things?
How much time do you get for how much $?

I work an hour away and get out early on that Wednesday to get to the track on time. I change my tires the night before so I can just get out on the field when I get there.
