MHG Torque Sequence

sorry for the newb question, i am in the middle of assembling my new engine and got a ?.... ive done mhg before and i just followed fsm spec. now i am wondering if i should follow step c "loosen all bolts completely". i am using arp studs with a cosworth 1.1. wouldnt loosening all nuts completely on this gasket ruin the fire seal? thats what im thinking but i just want to be 100%, thanks guys...

Arp's do not need torque to yield just torque them to arp specs and fsm's torque sequence

arp spec refers to hg spec if i am not mistaken, and the cosworth didnt come with any specs.
