I just recently bought a brand new turbo off a seller on ebay. And when I recieved it today it looks tiny to me I was looking for a 50 trim, but it doesnt even seem close to my buddies 50 trim. I have a sr20 red top. I tried searching every where for info on this turbo but unable to find a whole lot. so if anyone has any info or to the actual trim of it that would be awsome. Also should i go bigger on the sr and also if anyone knows the psi level of the turbo.

specs are: garret airesearch t3/t04b s trim has a .60 a/r and has an .48 exhaust a/r external wastegate.

More Ebay turbo woes.

Does it actually say Garrett on it?

Do a google search, but seems like an OEM brand for some other car, not a normal one sold to mass market... DUnno

Tried googling it and came up with nothing so does anyone have any info or a good place to get it? It isn't and oem since its externally wastegated and it was bought from a performance website that sells aftermarket garrett turbos. its called http://blaastperformance.com/index.php but i can not see it since its in a different lang. saw a post on 240sxforums had almost the same turbo had .60 a/r and .48 exhaust a/r and he said it was good for 400 hp. which is what im looking for the 400 hp range would it be good for that or should i go bigger? And yes a real garrett came in garrett box with receipts.

So why didnt you ask for specs on the turbo before you bought it ? Why dont you e-mail the seller and ask for the trim sizes. 48ar turbine is gonna be super fast spool. What mods are done to the car if your trying to achieve 400whp? post mod list please

Future advise the turbo is your powerhouse. Buy expensive parts like that from reputable websites and do alot of research and look at compresser maps and the find out the efficientcy range of the turbo before buying.

BC 264 cams, greddy cam gears, BC valves and retainers, jwt valve guides, port and polished head. Tomei head gasket, apr head studs, cp pistons 86.5, crower rods, balanced all rotating assembly. I basically want to fully build the motor but i was looking for a quick spooling turbo to drift with but i think this one is to small. i think it might run out of breath with all the mods? since the exhaust side is so small.

You dont need to port sr heads they flow really good stock. My advise is do greddy intake manifold. gt2871r's are nice drifting turbos if i was just drifting i really like this turbo. Are you doing a standalone or ecu tune? You need to factor in what your are doing for ecu before you pick a turbo because you can spool some bigger turbos with a standalone. Ecu tunes are nice but very limited.

Sorry I do have a greddy intake manifold. But i will be running a greddy v manage system until i can afford apexi fc. right now my sr20 just has a fmic and full exhaust and it pulls and is good for drift. but i wanted something more out of her but still looking to drift without tons and tons of turbo lag.

T04 compressor might make up for it tho...as far the exhaust AR, you can change the exhaust housing for a bigger AR.
