Heater Bypass hose blocked/kinked.

Can I kinked heater bypass hose (the U shaped hose on the inside of the intake manifold) cause an overheating issue? and would removing the T stat help fix the issue

So i recently just rebuilt a ka24de. it has not overheated currently because i turn it off at operating temp but its keep climbing in temp and i am using a 180 degree stant thermostatso it shouldnt be getting to the stock 195 temp.

I am wondering if the heater/coolant bypass hose being kinked could cause this issue. (its on the inside of the intake manifold, its a U shape. I know mines kinked) And i assume IF it can cause the engine to overheat, removing the T stat would help it run cool. (opening flow to the waterpump)

Upper radiator hose gets very warm while lower rad hose stays very cool so the cooling is there i just think the T stat might be clocking coolant flow to the water pump?

i have an oem nissan water pump, A brand new unit so i highly doubt thats the issue
I put the front end up high and tried to burp the system, fans hooked up, heater on while im bleeding

Anyone have any insight? Am I confused or does removing the T stat make sense

Blocking coolant flow is NEVER going to be an advantage.

Also sounds like you have air in the cooling system, keep bleeding it.

^Actually it's better to block a heater core bypass than to loop it. I know most everyone says to just loop it back around but I can promise you that it just sends hot discharge water over to your cold side immediately.

To the OP; no, it's not likely. You have an air pocket or bad thermostat if it's not head gasket related.

its the heater bypass hose being kinked. this is a factory hose this isnt a bypass for the heater core. (its just the name ive heard it called) this is a hose that connects the upper and lower rad hoses for when the thermostat is closed i believe.

either way removing the thermostat helped remedy the situation
