for all we know the girl was more than receptive of the insecure guys gifts and attention, and the girls a money grubbing who-oarrr... she played the guy, nabbed the car and told her parents a b.s. story to make her seem like an unwitted recipient of ''material goods that wouldnt sway her''

Yup I couldnt agree more. The line "can I buy you a drink?" is setting setting yourself up for MISERY. Never let a woman associate you with your wallet.

I make very good money for someone my age, and until i really get to know a girl, shed never even know it.

I just read this and now I'm pissed off and bitter. Yes, the kid is an idiot for blowing that kind of money, but living in Palm Beach you get used to seeing far too many idiots with money every day.
