s15 front end conversion bracket? bumper support?

Hi, I am having some trouble with my s13.5 conversion.

I have bought everything almost OEM.

But I am still having this fender and bumper gap.

so far I got

OEM s15 metal hood
OEM s15 bumper
OEM s15 headlights
OEM s15 radiator support
OEM s15 headlight bracket
OEM s15 retainer
OEM s15 hood hinge

FRP s13.5 fenders

I think I am missing

front bumper reinforcement /foam
and fender and bumper bracket ?? (IF they ever made it)
if so how would to slip on?

Anyone have some pictures they would love to share?

with cf hood

bumper/fender gap

oem hood

looks sexy I am not really seeing a gap... Maybe some close up pics of what your talking about... If anything I would think it would be the fender causing the gap

it looks fine? get some closer pics, it's not going to be PERFECT but you should be able to adjust the fenders a little bit.

Get a pair of s15 oem fenders and oem s13 fender and have it a shop cut and weld them together. There is a thread on here. I can't remember his name but he is from Ohio I think; anyways he has pictures on his thread of the fenders welded to gether and it looks real nice.

Fender bumper gap is because your using conversion fenders. Seriously you don't want that gap, it ether takes a lot of work or steel fenders. My car is steel fenders. I used a s14 zenki bumper support and the stock s13 radiator support. I also welded on custom tabs for the fender support because I did not have a S15 upper bumper retainer at the time.

pics of my car no gap and oh I see the same situation with your carbon fiber hood I have with mine and yes I painted the Carbon Fiber.

Your car does not look bad though for conversion fenders. I have seen a lot worse. LOL

pics of mine below.

Only way to not have gaps is by running really high quality fenders(from J-land) or splicing S13 metal fenders with S15 metal fenders.

Not exactly cheap, but makes all the difference in the world.

Even the high quality fenders from Japan still usually need work as well. Though the words above are the truth.

Your doing a conversion, the answer will be no unless you use original s15 parts and even then it wont be perfect. There is a screw that goes from the bumper to the fender thats really close to the headlight, it will help correct the sag a little but not much. good luck.

Did you align/installed yourself or had a bodyshop do it.
I reckon a shop should be able to massage the panels and make them fit well.

and s15 conversions, no matter what Dave says, are lame

there are quite the bit of grommets/bolts/spacers and clips that actually hold the bumpers on s15s

i hope this helps

from the pics I see a possible number of issues going on with your front.

1. Your conversion fenders could just be off. Its not uncommon.

2. Did your S15 bumper come with the factory upper plastic pieces on the upper edges for anchoring your fender bolts? . I got lucky my bumper had them on it because I bought a used factory bumper.

New S15 bumpers do not come with them and a lot of the used ones don't either. Now the upper retainer piece what I talked about earlier part number 62242 we did a custom version of. Its a totally important thing to keep the sag from happening.

3. Making sure your working with a straight front end is equally important. Now In the left hand pic it looks like your fender is just a messed up conversion fender.

On the right hand side I see a lot of misalignment. It looks like your Headlight is not even lined up right which will contribute to the problem and again the fender itself seems to be another part of the problem.

My boys at the body shop were picky about lining my shit up. In fact he complains about almost all the add on stuff including my Hot Road Rear Valence and my kouki skirts. LOL

i was going to say there was no gap, but then you took close pics,
if anything like everybody else said you're probably just
missing screwes, or it's the fenders that you're using,
living in okinawa i've only seen one clean s13.5

not a big fan on the 15 on anything to be honest, good luck with build

This is proving to be very helpful, as I myself am doing the conversion on my S13.
I've gone with the s13.5 fenders suggested by jspec.com which I've found to be very high quality.
