I have some blue paint like crap on my stock 98 SE rims. I can't scratch it off...is there any stuff I can put on this that is save for my rims that will remove it?

That is so weird--I have little drops of blue paint-like crap on my rims too. There's like 2 or 3 drops on each rim. Another weird thing is 1 or 2 lug nuts on each of my rims has yellow paint on it. The things that make ya go hmmmm......

I wish I could help ya, but i'm wondering the same thing as you are.

That's strange...yeah I have the blue spots on a couple spots on my car. It's like...very blue blue...not a light blue or dark blue..but an in between blue.

You think paint thiner would hurt my rims?

yeah, mine are kinda sky blue, too. Does anyone know how to take it off w/o ruining the finish on the alloy wheels?

dang, this is sounding like a conspiracy, I have the same thing, I've tried thinner (it does hurt the rim, but I put some polish to bring it back) and scratching it off with a blade, won't work. very strange....

Obviously, you all don't know what those blues spots are for so let me enlighten everyone. Some guy in the factory that manufactured those wheels figured the easiest way to tell a perfect rim from the not-so-perfect rim is to bloch it with blue paint. It's a pain in the a$$ to get off because they made it that way. Down the assembly line it goes and the old paint they used wore off easily. They recycled the flawed rim by melting it and if they put the paint on the flawed rim, it would contaminate the melted metal bin. Now you all know.
