1978 Datsun 280z - Minimal Rust
For sale or trade. $5000 for the car. Trade for no-sunroof S13 coupe, slicktop Z32, other cool stuff
EDIT 3-29: Floor rust is fixed, patches welded in, POR15 painted and seam sealed. Dents are mostly pulled, just some hammer & dolly-ing and some filler needed, should be done by the weekend. EDIT 3-30: Have 240z bumpers, an r200, r200 moustache bar, beefy front diff mount, r200 axles, LS engine mounts. Located in Tallahassee, FL. 1978 280z, automatic. Has r180 rear end, L28 engine. Nice clean interior. Has not been started in at least 4-5 months and battery is dead. Spare tire well is mostly eaten away, and there is a hole in the wheel well under the battery tray, and the floor pans need patching (a few small holes) but other than that little to no rust elsewhere. Dog legs, frame rails, hatch area, all rust-free. Car has some body damage, two dent/scrapes on the pass side, a smaller scrape on the drivers side, and a medium sized dent in the driver rear quarter panel. Easier/cheaper to fix than the usual Z rust problems this car is without. Also have a complete running-when-pulled L24 engine with header, exhaust, round-top carbs. Also have a 5-speed swap for the car, including pedals. Only other parts needed for 5-speed swap are clutch and master/slave cylinders. The worst of the rust: More pics including problem spots: https://imgur.com/a/HD3t6 Last edited by DrKarrot; 03-30-2018 at 01:52 PM.. |

You may be right. I am always too careless about actually documenting anything. The only good pictures I have of my FC and my S13 are off the craigslist ad when I sold them. Post has been updated to reflect some parts I now have that can go with the car. Complete r200 setup, LS engine mounts, 240z bumpers. The build continues. |
