Starting Problems-- HELP

Ok, so I researched the shit out of this AND NADA...so here I go:

S14 Chassis with S13 Blacktop-

New battery (Bosch Miata Battery)
New Starter (Mishimito)
New Ignition Switch (NEW OEM)
Wiring Specialties lower/tranny harness
Viper Alarm
Apexi PFC L-Jetro

Car will only start intermittently other than that just one single click and NOTHING.

Alternator tested out good, the only thing I can think of is maybe grounding or not enough amps (not volts) to the starter. But why would it start sometimes? If the battery was too weak it would never start it right?

I've read about a possible relay but supposedly the S14 doesn't have a starter relay...

I'm stumped and pissed off at my car right now...

Someone help me please!

Ah, I had this exact same issue with my old S13 single cam. You're not gonna like my solution tho: I sold the car and got a new 240 lol.

Check your grounds. There is one behind the valve cover -> firewall that is notorious for causing intermittent starting problems.

What kind of voltages are you getting at the terminal with the car running?

If the battery was weak it would turnover slow, it sounds like a solenoid issue on the starter, since its new, i suspect the wiring between the ignition switch to the starter or grounds

Thanks for the advise, I will definitely check the ground behind the head. If I recall I DID NOT use that ground for some reason.

The cars does start in the mornings but seems to get worse when it's hot.
