Oil pressure sender could be shitty, or you may in fact have poor oil pressure. That could be from many things, from oil pump to poor bottom end bearings

You'd see a mark if your tank leaked...

Check vacuum and timing...

It could be a maf, it could be a bad CTS, it could be a few things, but check that first. If you're smelling fuel my money is on a vacuum related issue.

How do I remove the e-brake rubber/plastic boot trim thingy? I'm trying to get a "drift knob" button thing on that I got from itsproper!+ but I can't get the damn cover off to be able to remove the spring under it to install it correctly.

Usually a bad MAF or CTS puts the car into limp mode (unable to rev, SUPER SUPER rich, almost unable to drive) so it sounds like it's something recent.

Have you pulled any codes from the ECU? A faulty O2 sensor can also effect it, as if it's shot it's not allowing the car to operate in the correct loop, thus simulating WOT at all times

i checked the wheels i have on now, it's 195.

what's the biggest tire you can fit on a SE wheels? 205?

what's a good brand and good performing for tires? that won't break the bank...

Anyone running this coolant? Wondering if it's ethylene glycol based, and if it's useable in a KA24DE. Read the site, and couldn't find if it's EG based or not. But it's amber, and I think the coolant in my car right now is green or yellow. I'd obviously completely flush my radiator before refilling.

PEAK GlobalĀ® LifeTimeĀ® 50/50 Prediluted Antifreeze & Coolant

Again, car is a daily, but will be going to track days.

I know he did. Just wasn't sure if it was EG based or not.

But alright. Thanks S14DB. Appreciate the help.

Small Exhaust fitment question.

This isn't my thread, but I have a similar question to his:
http://zilvia.net/f/chat/356035-s13-...nt-issues.html

As you can see, his exhaust hangs pretty low and I was curious if there is something that I can do to bring my exhaust up? Or if there are any good tricks.

I've got an S14 with HKS Hi-Power exhaust, hi flow cat and a megan down pipe with flex section. My car is only really lowered about 1" or so from factory height, maybe a bit lower.. but my resonator is scraping over just about every bump I come across. Speed bumps, my drive way, etc. I want to be able to go lower but I can't, for the fear of scraping the fuck out of the resonator. This thing will hit bumps before my lip does.

Any suggestions? Other than raising my car cause it's already a 4x4. I replaced the rear exhaust hangers with new ones cause they seemed to be worn out, though I know they don't make a big difference in the fitment, it did bring that rear end up just a bit.

KA24de valve covers are they all the same? Will a 91-94 or 95-96 valve cover bolt onto my 98 KA24de?

I've heard with this exhaust if you flip some parts it'll give you better ground clearance. You can always angle your hangers and use hose clamps to keep the hangers in a single position (really close) so they won't stretch.

My exhaust is for an s13 sr, but its on a s13 ka so it sits really low with my downpipe, it angles downward progressively but the hose clamps keep it hugging the body so i don't scrape anymore

Depends on how wide the se wheels are, if they are 6.5" wide you could put 225s on them

Also do you want all season performance or summer performance tires...

If you want super cheap, sumitomo aren't bad, they came on my 240 and were new and I've been impressed though I never would have picked them before...

On my civic I have goodyear eagle gts, which honestly are the best all seasons I've ever had and I paid 70ish a corner for 205/50/16s

As for summer tires im not too familiar with them right now since its been a few years since I bought any... BFGoodrich have always been excellent...I say get on tirerack and read reviews

so ive tried searching and couldnt find anything

im just curious about you zenki s14 guys with body kits.

i have a zenki with oem zenki side skirts and rear valences. the rear valances arent really doing it for me and i want more of a complete lip around the rear bumper.

my question is since the oem zenki side skirts are kinda similar to most kitted s14s, what rear bump will most likely line up with them?

thanks

Unless you're going to drop every last ounce, it's not worthwhile IMO to go from automatic to manual crank.

well this is what i have(old pic)

im looking for an aftermarket rear bumper, may it be version select or origin..whatever. that will line up as closely with the Zenki sideskirts. im just trying to clean up the rear, so the rear bumper doesnt sit so high and to hide the exhaust a little better

"Features a patented non 2-EH formula that is phosphate-free and silicate-free"

It's a HOAT(EG/DG base). Non 2-EH means it's not Dex-Cool. Most Asian manufactures call for a silicate free POAT(phosphate). Silicates can damage the cooling system(Water pump) in Asian cars. A lot of the domestic and some European use a Silicate HOAT. Not safe for Asian cars.

Global Lifetime is probably(only one known, confirmed ingredients) that is safe for mixing with all coolants. The only thing can go wrong is if you are using older green coolants(2yr life) with it the life is only as long as the shortest.

Best best it to buy some Deionized / Distilled water and flush the block out. Drain it. fill up with water. Drive it till it gets up to temp and turn on the heat. then drain it. Repeat it till the drains are clear water. Then fill up with the global lifetime.

I got some Peak Super Flush, so that'll help clean out the radiatior/block/pump. But I'll also flush water through it a few times after using the super flush thing. Thanks a lot for that info, very useful.

I went to Autozone and PepBoys to check for the coolant, and neither had it. Looks like it's my mission to find it locally. Lol.

Use the rad drain and change the water out multiple times till it drains clear.

I went to Autozone and PepBoys to check for the coolant, and neither had it. Looks like it's my mission to find it locally. Lol.
I like the Prestone flush because it's just citric acid. But, if you are flushing with water several times after it doesn't matter.

Check Napa or your local chain gas stations. The auto store chains typically have deals to only carry certain products.
