I have to agree, I can't wait to see the results and how you go about doing certain things. I have ideas of my own, but I'm still some time away from executing any of them.

Your work is top notch, so I am curious to see the results.

i agree

but i guess some people have other priorities.. if they want more power, domestic parts, etc... nothing wrong with that, its their car so .. do as they wish.

the way i see it, sr was there originally (overseas), so sr should stay there. these cars need nothing else.

good luck toby, hope it turns out as planned

I don't think broadfield ever complained about his SR so I don't see where your going with that.

He just wants something different than what he has had. This has nothing to do with the rest of zilvia. Its like anything in life, once youve had something you get over it and want something new. I personally would stay SR but that is me. Broadfield always does top quality work so I know this will turn out sick!

Sorry its not "JDM" enough for you teddy.

Broadfield: I would imagine you'll be keeping A/C in this? I've heard it was rather complicated with Lsx swaps. If you do keep it..you'll be the first ive seen to actually do it.

Its actually rather easy to keep ac and lots of people have it already working in their s chassis but why do you want ac if u want a fast car in the first place lol

I am in full support of the V8 swap. I am a little biased but this should be really sweet.

As for those who are traditionalist, lets get real. We live in the USA. The SR is a motor swap for us. If you want traditional, keep the KA. Otherwise everything is a swap, and in that case, anything is fair game.

Are you going to make your own mounts?

If you do the LS build as good as the SR build it's going to be insane.

This

That was exactly my point, im not a fan of v8's also but Broadfield mentioned that he had his SR for 4yrs already, it is time for something new. I personally would of done a vq but thats me. All the dick riding v8 fans need to calm down just because we have sr fans in here. Like Teddy said....this is a message board so WE ALL CAN VOICE OUR OPINIONS! If you dont like it go to another site then and Broadfield does awesome work so we all know this is going to turn out sick as fuck!

Why are you bringing up the track argument? Did Toby ever intended to take his car to the track in the first place.

I have the exact same mentality as you when it comes to builds. "do everything yourself"
i'll be looking forward to this build.

Hey jackass I have a lsx s14 I know what im talking about dumb fuck, but hey guess what its my track car not my daily to pick up your mom in. If you want to know how to run ac all u need to do is run a custom ac hose just like you would do with any swap. Then u need to get it wired in which is rather easy but opted not to run it but if u like so on silviav8forums.com and look up the threads that twistedsymphony has written on wiring it in to your car. ps i recommend going with a sikky kit. Im sure its on par with your work lol. The only thing i didnt like on sikky kit is that shifter position is tad bit to forward so i had to trim my shift boot trim but im not sure on a s13, and that they sent me a s13 driveshaft instead of a s14 but that was fixed quickly

Haha neat. Thanks for the links. Hopefully we can learn something from them. I was just questioning your logic on saying fast cars don't have A/C. Just sounds like 16 yr old Honda fanboi logic. You didn't mention your s14 was a track car (or anything about your car?). This is Toby's thread, a thread about a street car. Street cars of this caliber have both power and comfort.
