Ok man.
I don't know if a s-15 sr20 will fit into a s13 body. I do know that you can get a s-13 sr20 engine for like $2300 for the red top, $200 more for the black top which has a little more power. You can get them from http://Unstable-Hybrids.com They charge $1300 for installation, and at $50 an hour, that is 26 hours of professional work time. It should take you about a week and a half if you seriously know what you are doing. After you buy parts like a FMIC and such, unstable hybrids charges $4100 without installation for a s-13 engine ready to put into the car and run. Another choice is a CA18DET install. Unstable does them for $4300 Subtract about a grand if you are gonna do it yourself. I think the CA18DET has 170 or 180 horses. Its cheaper though, and maintenance parts are much easier to find. Post back as to what you are gonna do, I'll try and help. -Jeff |

$4500 that sounds very good it might be worth it to let the shop do it, myself I would do a ca18det swap but i'm biased towards it I say let the shop do it for $4500 besides after all that hassle with your old engine don't you just wanna sit back and let someone else do it

Its cheaper and I like it cause it's smooth and not as "peaky" in it's power delivery. I will have pics by my guesstimation Friday (i hope). It looks like a sr20det in my opinion but i'll let the pics i eventually will take show you

Mabey you didn't read the latest issue of Sport Compact Car. They have a Sentra SE-R with a SR20DET in it, overbored to take JWT forget pistons. Anyway, it produces 471 horsepower at 6,000 RPMs. It runs low 12's, and with something ( I dont have the mag in front of me) it should run 11's. And its FWD. There are dozens of mag articles about the SR engine, and they all praise them. Also... the reason that many people don't have 11 second SR's is they are expensive. Almost $8k for a 250hp s15 engine. Then another $10k into a 450 hp monster.
