I own a '97 240sx coupe, it is set up with a four lug configuration. Does anyone out there know the best way to convert to 5 lug. Does it even matter performance wise or is it just for show?
It seems all the nice wheels out there are 5 lug so I am kind of bummed out.

Benifit in swaping is to have more choices on wheels. You will find more wheels and wider wheels in the 5 lug format.

The 4 to 5 lug swap is about $1k.

I don't know if this will work, but you might find a wrecked 240SX or other Nissan with 5 lugs and swap the hubs. http://www.copartfinder.com will list junked cars in your area. My '97 has 5 lugs and 16 inch wheels. Also, I've seen a cheap conversion (I think it was on 240sx.org) where the guy removed the wheel studs and drilled holes for new studs in the 5 lug pattern.

Thanks guys, I guess Im gonna start searching for a junked SE, or a 300z and get the parts that way.

I cant believe how much that sucks <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>

How hard would it be to convert to 300ZX hubs? I would think that would open up the opportunities for brakes as well as wheels.
