5 lug hubs from ebay

i was wondering if anyone had any experiences with these 5 lug hubs from ebay?
eBay Motors: Silvia 240SX S14 95-98 5 Lug Conversion Hub New Front (item 140299446772 end time Mar-06-09 20:54:24 PST)

looks like a good price and he/she uses oem bearings.

meijiperformancethat's his screen name on ebay.

looks like a pretty tempting thing to buy seeing as how you can get both front and rears for about $300 shipped. opposed to paying like 300 for only a front pair from nissan.

let me know your experiences with this if you have any! wanna know b4 i shoot some money off into it.

thanks ^_^

Hm...that actually looks pretty good. I would actually...consider buying that. i mean, as long as it fits and its strong? that's all you need. The studs might be shitty that's all. I don't know. 160 is kinds expensive. If you were to get them from nissan, what would you order them from? 300 zx n/a??

I bought some off ebay, mine work fine except that 1 stud was missing and that hole was bigger than the others so I still have to find a stud that fits.

Compared to the alternatives i guess that is fairly inexpensive. what are you going to do about calipers and adapters to fit the caliper on? I'm looking do do this myself, wondering where your gonna get that stuff from.

Go for it.

I dont see how they differ from buying reman./oe replacment brake and suspension parts from a parts house. Seeing as how thats what those are without going through one of the middle men without a "brand" printed onto the box.

Hubs from napa r wayyyy cooler tho lol.

to me they look legit,

im not sure on the strength of mild steel for wheel hubs, but we use them for strapping our frames, and it seems to hold up.

in the description they say they use OEM nissan bearings, they meet factory specs, and there cnc machined. with that it seems like they are pretty strong.

im thinking about picking up a set, does anyone else have any feedback on these?

Recently, I found a pizza place near my house that sells extra large pizzas for 7 bucks. So I tried it. And you know what? It was DELICIOUS. Better than the extra large you get from Pizza Hut which 15+ dollars.

Another example: Coco's has a turkey croissant sandwich on their menu for about 9 bucks. I tried it, and it sucked. Lee's has the same sandwhich, but way the fuck tastier, for only 4 bucks.

Point is... Value is everything. Yes, "you get what you pay for" does apply in some situations, but not ALL situations. There are still bargins to be had for quality products, even in the automotive world.

I wouldn't mind trying out these hubs. I bet they're safer than drilling 4 more holes into my stock 4 lug hubs.

Go for it I really don't see what can go wrong with hubs whether from ebay or a junkyard, I would only question the quality of the bearings.

i've bought and sold those hubs before... i had to warranty a few sets.

one of them the bearing blew out ASAP and on another set the actual hub cracked.

this was on a pretty serious LS1 S13 but that shouldnt really matter.... these things WILL break... hopefully its just the bearing though and you can replace that with an OEM grade one that costs like $150 each.

How will a stock 4 lug rotor bolt onto a 5 lug hub? Fail.

Will have to be drilled or you will have to get rotors from an s14, i don't know what fits.

I assumed he was doing a full R32/z32 brake conversion.

as long as no one complains about this product
on how it caused an accident, death, or the brand is being
sued for selling unsafe parts, then your pretty legit

I was planning on getting a set for my fronts (Running Z32NA's for the rears) - but Planned on @least Upgrading the Studs to APR's or something.I would be more afraid of the STuds than anything else.....Worth a shot
I'd feel better if I had say: S14 fronts and running these on the Rears.But,..being that they are the "Steering" WHeels,.if one fails massivly,..could be dangerous.

Though Ichiba's you can get for about $200 shipped for the front or rears...and just run Z32NA's for the back since the going rate is about $90 for them and they are OEM
