DIY Seat Rail install 25$
As you all know the S13 seats are uncomfortable and fugly. after 22 years of use my driver seat finally broke. The backing broke at the hinges and their was no way to repair it. Off to the junk yard. While scavenging way through the yard i found a seat a really like already in a junked s13 but it obviously wasnt from a 240. I knew some fabrication would be needed to make this seat fit. Here's how i did it.
Seat cost: 25$ Time: 4hrs. Materials:Seat rails from junk yard seat. Brackets from 240sx. - Welding machine -Grinder First I removed the (rear) brackets from the seat i bought at the junkyard and cut off the (front) hinges, so it could sit level on the floor. Then I removed the (rear) brackets off the spare 240sx rails and welded them to the junkyard seat. I had to add 2 1/2" to the rail closest to the driver side door and .25" to the bracket (at an angle) closes to the center console. NOTE: It took me a few times of welding and test fits in the car when i finally got it right. Hope the pictures help. |

If they were already on an S13, why couldnt you just unbolt them, then bolt it to your car?
Not a fan of how high those seats are compared to the stock one next to it. |

I found it in a s13 but it was not bolted on, i guess someone thought they could fit it on before i got there. Who knows where that seat came from or what kind of car it belongs to. But when other stock seats like that of an s14 go for 150 and up this 25$ seat was a steal.

TBH your new seat is even uglier than the oem one.
And unless you are very small, you will have your head through the roof. There is a reason why everyone with aftermarket seats try to go the lowest possible (and usually fail at it). |

@Jamg That is the plan to change the angle, i'm 5'10 and i fit just right lol.
@Croustibat Read the description carefully its a junkyard seat NOT meant for the 240. ugly or not its comfortable lol. |

I don't think other seats were meant for the s13 because of the funky floor pan design. I put sti seats in my hatch and I'm going to mod the floor because they sit at an angle and higher than I like
