doesn't really translate so well

be softer with lighting choices and don't pp the shadow detail so much

Not making an excuse, but i only had a 2 light set up on that, trust me, it should have been done with 5 to 7.

I just spent about 4 hrs on your page and checking out you pics and info. I hate to say it but my pics suck compared to yours. lol
So im coming to you for some insight and motivation.
At the End of the month (Oct) i will be attending a wedding and want to get some nice pics and also step my game up.
What should I bring and upgrade to? Flash? Give me the full rundown.
Ive NEVER used Flash.
Location::
Maui, HI
Current Bag::
Nikon D90
18-105mm (locking tab broken, need to fix asap)
55-200mm 4-5.6
50mm 1.8
X-28mm Macro Manual (someone gave it to me, and i never use it.)

I have been shooting weddings for 2 years now and I DO NOT RECOMMEND using a flash ON CAMERA.
I shoot all Natty light throughout the Prep and ceremony, plus its a MASSIVE distraction at the ceremony to see someone with a TTL flash.



The only time I am going to use flash is for the formals, and reception , and they will be off camera, NO ONE wants a nasty direct TTL flash in their face, I can't even begin to explain HOW MANY people shoot direct TTL flash at people and think it looks good, it really destroys the wedding photography community. Its going to be a MUST that you use off camera lighting at the reception so your able to results such as..



You might wanna get a 35 1.8 seeing that your own a crop body, the 50 will be around a 75ish and its just to close.
I would recommend that you use the 55-200 for the ceremony, and which to the 35 after they come down the aisle.



Use the macro for ring shots, be creative and watch your horizons, meaning keep the camera level and never tilt more than 13 degrees left or right.
Don't forget to shoot details!



Remember, keep calm, it isn't your wedding, no reason to ever get nervous.

Awesome, nah those are HELLA over kill.
Just get a bunch of
YONGNUO

we have a ton of them and they work flawlessly, TTL flashes are over kill in most situations.

Don't forget to triggers and receivers

i don't mind at all, remember, just keep the flash off the camera and on tripods.

We are working on that as we speak
Me and partner did a live stream with Cisco system and it was quite successful, it was really cool, when you would talk, it would take your face, move it up to the front of the screen while the others listen.

Were going to something even better, always trying to push the envelop!
