Hey guys,

This is my first swap and I have hit a road block.

SR20det 89 240sx hatch

The starter is cranking over but the engine isn't turning over. It also makes a sound like the engine is releasing pressure. I've included a link to a Youtube video to help diagnose the problem.

I've tried different batteries(Moved to the rear), checked continuity of wiring when cranking (When cranking the coil pack drop to 7.5-8 amps. is that normal?)

Are you sure that the timing chain and cam angle sensor are correctly set? Could be as simple as that, good luck.

That "air" sound is the starter slipping.

Sound like your timing is off.

I went out to the garage tonight and adjusted the timing and the CAS and it started right up. I appreciate the help!
