That's not a bad deal considering Motorex sells 94 GT-R V-spec II for around $48k. You'll have to go through Motorex and pay $16k for legalization, which is the ONLY way to legalize any Skylines in the US. So that would add up to be $41k + other additional costs. I think this would come out to be about the same price as Motorex car, and this car also has higher mileage than most Motorex cars.

i see a lot of responses to this, for those that actually would consider purchasing a skyline, or have recently been in the market for one, what would you fairly pay for an R32 GTR Nismo Edition fully legalized? Assume decent mileage and body condition etc.? i hate to hijack this thread i just may be coming accross one soon. thanks!

WOuld the car come with de-registration papers from japan? Otherwise there is no way that even motorex can legalize the car. You could do it yourself to save a lot of money, but it will take time. Motorex is NOT the only other people that can legalize your Skyline there are plenty of other companies. Just look around and call. Don't mean to hijack your thread. Price is kinda high, but it's also hard to find a Vspec II that clean. And true, you probably only got the car for 10k at the most, not to hate, but lower the price and you might get more bites.

This is just me wondering, but what if I were to buy an r33. (not legalized) and put my s14 tag on it and my registration on it. Then if I were to be pulled over I would just tell the officer it was a highly modified 240sx. How would they know I was lieing?
I could just keep my s14 parked with no plates on it and as long as I keep it inspected and pay a few dollars to the guy at the shop I know that does inspections to not put the stick on the vehical but just give it to me what would be wronge with this scheme? |

looks like someone took some pics of a r33 in a parking lot and wants to run a scam, sorry if I am wrong here but 50% down for an unseen car is kind of scetchy. People do this on audi forums all the time.

you could always start the registration process as a kit car, then just never finish it. if you get pulled over, you can show the officer that you have a temp. permit. then, after that permit is expired for a few months, go get another one

How much does that cost? Sounds a lil' sketchy to me, especially since NY hates modified cars (i.e. NYS law states ANY louder than stock exhaust is illegal, which means pretty much anything not OEM is illegal).
