Kouki Conversion
Has anyone done a Zenki to Kouki conversion without using the kouki reinforcement bar? Also does the JDM kouki bumper fit directly on a zenki reinforcement bar given that I have the kouki retainer

Never done the swap but my 97 kouki had a jdm bumper on the retainer only. Bolt it on the retainer and fenders and it will hold fine. Originally kouki, so take that for whatever is worth. If the kouki retainer bolts up to your car then i don't see why it wouldn't fit.

I have the EXACT SAME ISSUE. My shake/vibration isnt as severe as this dudes and it happened in 1st and beginning of second. What could it be?! Replaced tranny mount with nismo mount. 2nd gear issue went away but 1st gear vibration still persists. 1. Engine mounts fine 2. Replaced transmission mount already 3. Clutch is fine. No slips or any issues whatsoever. 4. The vibration is primarily in the transmission tunnel (as like in the video) and its at the rear wheels as well. Besides the vibration it feels like youre driving on a rough road, but this is only in the rear wheels. Front is fine.

either your center carrier bearing is shot or rubber bushing between the drive shaft and tranny input shaft is gone.
center carrier bearing can still be had brand new for like $50-$60. rubber bushing between shaft and tranny means you need a new drive shaft (JDM S13 drive shafts didnt have a bushing, just a U-Joint) |

anyone know the exact hardware I need to connect a s14 kouki fender to a s14 jdm kouki bumper (specifically where the front of the fender and back of the bumper meet)? I do not want to use zip-ties. thanks in advance

^ probably could and should just look up the parts needed on ebay or enjuku, but I think its gonna be around $600-700. You gotta pay $300+ for a used set of calipers, $100 for good pads, $150 for conversion lines, another $200 for rotors probably. And you'll probably want the 300zx master cylinder so that's a little more there

My new coupe has working HUD. It's super dope and I love it. However, the windshield has a huge crack near the bottom. I really don't want to spend a shit ton of money on an HUD windshield but I'm about to. My question is, can I just put a non-HUD windshield in the car and some sort of dark film or something in the corner so I can still use my HUD or does it not work that way?

Worth a shot. Sounds like it from a Google search. KA will work with some minor mods. You can also see about having a local shop rebuild it. Their nothing fancy. My '85 911 Alternator ran $125 for a rebuild. Sure beats $600 for a new one. On top of that, you'd have a reconditioned unit instead of just another high mileage used one. |
