Nitto nt555r's are terrible, I could never hook with them. Try a MT radial. Coilovers are also hurting your 60ft, but you can cut it down with better tires.

Full weight S14 W/AC

RB25 W/26 Head and ITBS

6766 JB turbo @ 17-18psi street tuned by myself on 92 pump

Weld RTS 15x9.25 6.5in back space 275/50/15 Mickeys

17x4.5 in the front with 185/55/17

Ran a best of 11.66@128mph 2.05 60ft

Ran another 11.68 letting off at the 1000ft - 115mph / 102mph in the 1/8th

Kept braking axles so i didnt want to launch hard resulting in the crappy 60's, best 60 was a 2.01 lol

airbags went off on the 2nd axle breakage.. Disconnect them!!

Are you on stock axle? Hardly anything on s chassis is strong enough to be abuse. You have to take other car drivetrain and put in s chassis to abuse it. I wonder how did Honda people do it.

I was on stock axles and R200 with S15 differential and 4.63 gears

Car is apart now upgrading to R32 GTR axles and hubs and modifying subframe to accept an R230 Z32 twin turbo rear end.
Also have a set of Richmond gears to install as well.

I have broken 2 R200 240sx pinions.. Not as strong as people think..

Sfourteen, are you launching using a line lock or foot brake only? Forgive me if that is a stupid question I am concerned that i may break an axle as well and am curious about how the new setup works.

I was running factory axles for almost over a year with 9lb launch control with 6krpm dump launches and never snapped an axle but instead of snapping an axle the cv joints started to loosen up in the inbound and outbound mounts. I think it was the type of tire I was using that softened the blow (Hoosier quick time pro).

Whats everyones goal for the new season?

My goal is to get the car to run high 9s with full interior and still use the factory IRS but with D2 drag coilovers

My goal this year is running 7's in the 1/8 mile without breaking anything. Other than r200 and sr, nothing else is stock. Do you guys think Prothane bushing and Isis suspension arms help with traction issues especially with all season street tires? I do not break anything with street tires because it just spin.

more input on this?, I just finished up my swap & my front sway bar [stock] is currently removed since it doesn't clear the motor. I was going to invest in a sikky sway bar.. should i not bother?.

If you are only drag racing then keep the stock front. The key thing with 240's is getting the weight transferred to the back as much as you can!!! I can not stress that enough. Example....

My car: stock shocks/springs, sub frame spacers, completely gutted, 275/60/15 m/t drag radial, rolled rolled and rolled some more rear quarter, stock sways, launch control, gt2876r, 380hp/385tq, 93 pump gas

Both cars are running apexi power fc-d jetro and were tuned by Ray shake at M-A motorsports on their mustang dyno.

Friend: megan coilovers lowered 1.5", no sub frame spacers, half interior, 255/50/16 m/t drag radial, rolled quarter, nismo sway bars and strut bars, no launch control, borg warner s256, 410hp/390tq, Cam 2 fuel

My pass was 11.20 @ 121mph and 1.52 60'
His pass was 11.70 @ 124mph and 1.82 60'

Power is nothing if you can't get the car to hook and squat.

YehI'm definitely going with MT's or Hoosier Drag Radials for the upcoming season. I needed a track/street combo so I went w/ the Nitto's. My goal for the upcoming season is 11's in the 1/4'. Going single turbo, 850cc injectors, & AEM standalone.
