^Lol, no.

Well, comfortable and coilovers will never really be in the same sentence unless they are over your budget.

However, with a couple of hundreds more from your budget, go with Fortune Autos 500's with swifts OR Powered By Max Pro's (not comps, PROS). The reason why people say PBM's are harsh is usually because they are the dumbasses that bought the comps (track intended only) when they were reading about their Pro's or they have the older generations.

Those are about the only two (around your budget) that I would recommend since I have owned and dailied them. I have pro's right now and I just got rid of my 500's with Swifts. Absolutely BEST bang for your buck.

+1 for Fortune auto 500s. I had the dreadnoughts and it's really harsh.

imo, why coilovers? H&R springs + Tokiko blues is probably more comfy than the coil overs mentioned in this thread so far.

i have PBM pro's and they ride pretty decent, they are alittle stiff and you have to get used to it though.

I ran a set of tein flexs on my s14. It rode better than my dad's c6. For a DD setup, they're awesome.

Tein SS are amazing coilovers for DD duty. I bought them with the car but as much as I like them they dont go low enough so I gotta switch them out for something else.

my friend has the pbm pro series on his s13 and they are comfortable but not as comfortable as my stance gr coils
your choices are
stance gr-most comfortable to me
tien flex- feel like the stance
pbm pro- still very comfortable but best bang for the buck
fortune auto- no experience but i hear nothing but good things
megan- cheapest but im not a big fan
regardless if u want something really comfy that wont make ur titty jiggle everytime u hit a bump(this wins with chicks but ive almost wrecked multiple times starring) get a good strut and spring setup

I have ISIS for my s13 and theyre amazing. fully adjustable as is the damper and they ride like some of the more expensive brands. got em for 650 from enjuku. idk if they make em for s14 or not, but for the money theyre absolutely awesome. I ride 16 miles to work on the highway every day and i dont hate the ride (granted theyre coilovers so yes any decent bumps are gonna be felt, but 90% of the time it feels smooth as can be)

MEGAN TRACKS RIDE FUCKING AWFUL. I removed some megans and installed fortune autos with standard springs on my s14. I put 40K a year on my 14. They are MUCH better than the megans. My s13 has fortunes with swift springs, and ride even better. I wish i would have gotten the swift with my s14 coils, but wasn't in the budget at the time. At highway speds the 14 has that lowered car "hop" to it. Some days i don't notice, other days its all i can focus on. I need to try and adjust the dampers some more before i upgrade springs. Stance are nice too, but haven't riden in a car recently with them.

Tein Flex are some of the softest spring rates out there for our cars, so naturally, they'll ride the softest/smooth since they wont jar the living shit out of you.

i bought megan streets in late 05/early 06 (cant remember) because they were inexpensive and i was anxious to drop my car. rode with them up until 2011 (wrecked car) and the whole time i thought "man, i need to spring for some more comfortable coilovers" so minus 1 for megan streets.

Minus 1 for Megan anything.

I have D2's on my daily and BC's for my s14. If you want comfort, go with 8/6k springs or softer, and dial in the dampening to your comfort. I ride my daily (Subaru) on full soft, and it rides great and still handles awesome. Honestly I would buy BC or D2's again, I have no complaints with either of them. For me, it came down to what I could get the best deal on, that was still reputable. No Godspeed, no cx racing, no Isis, and definitely no Megan.

for your budget you should be able to find some tein flex. they are pretty much a perfect daily driver coilover. i have them on my s13 and i love them. they ride smooth, you can slam the ever loving sh!t out of your car, and tein coilovers can be rebuilt. i picked mine up used for $500 shipped for my s13 and they were in 9/10 condition.

Valving plays a huge part in how soft a coilover rides as well... All aspects should be considered before one decides to purchase a set. As of late, it seems that all anyone cares about is how low they go. Personally, I like useable suspension travel and not mocking a front end loader grading the ground...

I had some Kei Office coils awhile back, brand new and I never mounted them. I sold them because I needed some money, but in hindsight I should've put them on because they were suppose to be some of the best coils available...

I now have KW V3's and they ride amazingly. I haven't messed too much with the dampening or rebound but factory settings are live able for me. Once my car is back on the road and start getting on the track more I'll start messing with the adjustments.

I'm not thread jacking just wanted a quick easy answer and want to know why are Megan tracks bad? I'm going to daily them. I understand they are stiff 12kf 10kr. I want it a stiff ride because I'm going to be low.is it just harsh for DD or what.

I hit my head on the roof of my old hatch that came with megan tracks. that was just daily driving too.

Fortune Auto 500 ride really well, firm but very comfy. I think they cost 1050 shipped from IIR? Put them on a friend's zenki, he loves em. Seems to do well on the track too.
