My rb25 s13 build

So after lurking around for a while, finally decided to make my own build thread. After seeing a lot of half assed builds, I really wanted to build something that would blow all others out of the water. (Don't get me wrong, I don't mean all the builds, but the majority).

So after looking around for many months, I finally found what I was looking in New York. Made the 11 hour bus ride down and drove her back up to Canada.

Had some free time and got a few things done on my subframe.

This is how my subframe looked before

Cleaned the differential, than primed and painted.

Installed the subframe solid bushings and put the differential back on.

Small update, cleaned the under of the car with a wire brush and undercoated.

Also got the rear fenders ready for over fenders.

Some help from a friend.

I still need to weld the loose pieces to the body. Also deciding weather to make the cuts a bit higher, near the middle.

Also did a test of my fenders

Origin 50mm rear overs

Origin 20mm front fenders

Sorry for the mess in the pictures, a lot going on in the garage. Overall I'm pretty happy with the fitment, rear is going to need some small adjustments. Front is pretty spot on.

Going to try and get these installed today so I can put my subframe back together.

Also mounted my Bride zeta to the circuit sports rail and did a quick test fit.

I am really pleased with how it sits. For being 6"1, I was expecting to have some head room issues, but the seat sits super low.

So had a quick question, I can't find any info online, were the subframe bushings put in the right way? There in pretty solid but don't want to take any risks.

Sorry for no update, I've been really busy with work and school lately.

I ended up making spacers to put under the bushings for extra support.

All reassembled

First time seeing daylight in over 8 months

Going to the body shop to get body kit and overs molded. Also getting engine bay painted.

I forgot to take pictures of the body kit but its Authentic Origin Aggressive Body kit. Along with origin fenders

While the cars in the shop, I cleaned up the engine head and sent it off to the machine shop. I decided to keep a stock block this year and thinking about going rb30 block next year.

Also got this in the mail

It's a cxracing manifold and downpipe kit. Overall im pretty impressed with new design and welds arn't to bad. Fits perfect to.

Here's some updates from the body shop

And here's a cool picture I found from last summer

You have the subframe risers in backwards right now, they need to have the extra aluminum coming out the bottom in order for it to tighten the subframe up against the car correctly. With them flipped you've just lowered your subframe as opposed to moving it closer to the body as originally intended.

Everything else looks great, glad to see another clean build coming out of Ontario

Been busy, sorry for no update

This is the day i went to pick up the car

On its way home

Went with a dark purple for the bay

Looks really weird with widebody and small rims lol

Did some test fits

Needs go to way lower

Winkle coated psp and intake

Relocated to fit bigger turbo

Got some Hankook evo 12 215/35/18 and 245/25/18s

Messing around with the camber lol

Got it fitted to what I want

Needs bit lower on this side

As much we tried could not get the rear tires mounted, going to try 255/35/18

Also got my engine head back from the machine shop, did some test fits

This also just came, was backordered for a month

Its a chasebays Wilwood bmc that eliminates the brake booster and also a interior line kit. Must say quite impressed with the quality of these parts.

Got the head installed

Tomei cams installed

This just came in, Precision 6262 journal bearing .82 ar

Did a quick test fit

Went to pick up a Greddy oil filter and saw this super clean r32 gtr there

I'll leave it at this its pretty late, got the intake and bmc installed. Installed stock rail for now, hopefully ordering raw brokerage rail and injector dynamics 1000cc injectors this weekend.

Thanks! I want to get it painted next month, but I still need a few thousand more to get this beast running.

This is the colour scheme I want to go with, or possibly rootbeer

I would also consider the stock colour, as theres not many around, but It wouldn't sit nice with the bay IMO

And here's another shot of how my car would look in black

Nice, very well done; cxracing manifolds are good except for the collector. My ka's manifold collector was poorly done but that was a merge that was welded and why they switched to cast, I assume it flows better and is also stronger. But anyways keep up the good work.

Thanks everyone ^ , and I have to say cxracing really stepped up their game with the new designed manifolds. The welds could look a little better but for $500 I can't complain.

I ended up ordering the raw brokerage fuel rail and id1000 injectors on the July 4th Weekend, but apparently there not making the rails for a few months. Went with the Tomei rail for rb26. Should be here any day now, hopefully. Also got a fmic from raw brokerage.

Not to happy with the colour tho, purple would have been cool.

Ordered some new shock cartridges from bc racing, since my old ones were damaged from hitting the ruca.

Installed all the interior brake lines, just need to flare rear brake line.

Need to cut the downpipe to make it shorter and weld a v band on the old straight pipe. Also need to weld a new v band that's specific for the precision turbo.

Also this just came in, my new fuel lines.

Did some mock ups

Took this out to do the harness re locate and brake lines. Also re dyed black.

Hate doing wiring, keeping it simple, labeling and shortening whole harness by 3 feet, Extending few wires ( head lights, rad, lower harness etc)

All this came in yesterday, turbo lines.

Had to order more fittings, 90 degree fitting for the turbo drain to block and turbo feed and 3 90 degree fittings for the fuel setup for better fitment.

Ordered a wiring specialties harness today to, old one was very hacked up.
Hoping to have this on the road by end up July, although I have no idea how i'm going to pass Ontarios bullshit drive clean program. Registered as a hot rod and failed miserably last year cause of the straight pipes. Going to be worse this year with open waste gate, downpipe and cams..Might have to try that stuff you put in the tank to help??
