Get KYB AGX shocks if you have an 89-94 240SX. They only cost a mere $370 a set on groupbuycenter.com from Cox Imports. If you have an S14 (95-98), well, you don't have the option of getting the AGX shocks since they don't make 'em for that car. I don't know about you, but I personally believe that a quality set of shocks goes a long way and it really can't be skimped if you're using a set of aftermarket springs. Then again, it all depends on what you're doing with your car. If you're just daily driving, then Tokico blues would be okay, KYB GR2's are decent, I've never used Monroes nor do I know if anyone does at all. However, if you plan to push your car through corners and do rigorous performance driving, I suggest getting adjustable shocks for a bit more money (like $500-$560 for a set of Koni adjustables or Tokico Illumina). Just a bit of advice here. Go to shox.com and get a price quote from them. They're usually really helpful and they respond quick. Plus they give you different options and prices for your car.

Also, it would sorta help us out if you tell us which 240SX you have. ^_^;

I'm pretty sure the GR2's warranty will be voided with the drop the Sportlines will give you...at least get the AGX's if you have an S13.  They don't cost too much for an adjustable performance strut/shock.

oh yes, and my car's a basic daily driver. i doubt i will have any engine mods. i found KYB GR2 for like 200 bucks.. and AGX for 370.. i really don't know which one to go with.. people said GR2's not made for lowering springs so the tube would be too short or something.. thanks again

Well, if you wanna spend just a *bit* more money (an extra $65), you can go with the suspension package that groupbuycenter.com is having which includes a set of KYB AGX shocks (4-way in the front and 8-way in the back) for $370 and Eibach Pro-Kits which the spring rates were designed for the AGX shocks for $195.

Or you can try a set of Whiteline springs from PDM Racing. http://www.pdm-racing.com/products/suspension.html They're $150 a set. As far as I know, Whiteline's a pretty reputable brand, but they're not one of the bigger names like H&R, Eibach, Tokico, etc. If you wanna know which springs and shocks work well, I always use the review page on 240sx.org. Here it is. http://www.240sx.org/links/product-r...ion/index.html

If you're just going to make a daily car. I would just get the KYB GR2 and leave it at that. You will feel some difference. Maybe not as much as getting AGX, but you will still feel some difference.
