Hey guys,

Got hooked up with some Alpine Type R 6.5 Components and 6.5 Coaxials; also got the front door adpaters for 6.5s.

I have a pioneer deck, oldie but a goodie, and will be wiring a 4 channel amp as well; no sub.

Looking for placement advice in my 'vert.

My thought was to place the components in the doors and the tweeter up near the mirror knobs, with the coax's in the back?

Any reason I shouldn't switch that up?

Also, any sort of material I should place behind the speakers in the door or in the rears to improve sound?

Can't find a good reason or material in here that says one way or the other.

Thanks!

s14 Subwoofer and amp or all-in-one unit subwoofer

Bumping an old thread since I am in the market for a subwoofer setup.

Currently, I upgraded my door and rear speakers with the following setup. Honestly, I should have purchased a 6.5" component system for the front with 6.5 subwoofer(s) in the rear for clean sound and setup:

2x https://www.amazon.com/Rockford-Fosg...2&keywords=6.5

Since I have the rockford fosgate speakers installed and sound is decent, I am looking into purchasing a 12" subwoofer for a little more bass. I am indecisive about going with an all-in-one unit or going with a sub, box, and amplifier setup. With this said, what are your guys thoughts about the following 2 setups I am looking into:

All-in-one: https://www.amazon.com/Rockford-Fosg.../dp/B007AQ2W6W

Enclosed + amp: https://www.amazon.com/Kicker-Subwoo.../dp/B01MR1B6KM. Then paired with an amplifier that supports upto 600w RMS

The setup will be stored in-cabin as I am unsure where to mount it in the trunk. My budget is $200-$300 but I am open to other setups that will give me that umpffff!
