Sr20det piston ring gap

Hey there I'm rebuilding my sr20det for moderate boost(15-18psi) and I have a few questions about the ring gaps. I have a stock bore oem piston and new oem rings.

Most people say .018" top ring and .021" middle ring, what about the bottom ring? Do I gap them to factory spec? Also those top and middle rings specs that I have read on other forums are out of the limit per fsm; .0154" top ring, middle ring is within spec as its limit is .0232".

I'm having the machine shop gap them for me. He says unless I say what size to gap the rings, he will gap them on the higher end of the spec

Higher end of the spec is fine for boosted applications.

As for the bottom oil scraper rings, they don’t need gaps adjusted just the top and middle
