Weird issue 95' KA24DE

So lately my car dies on me randomly. I did notice in the mornings sometimes the car tends to smell like gas but the smell would go away, car ran fine and everything but if i shut it off after a casual drive it will start then the idle will drop below 500rpms bogg then die. I normally have to wait 30 to 45 mins before i can get the car to start. Ive tried different MAFs, cleaned the throttle body, cleaned the air filter. My distributor cap and rotor were switched a little under a year ago and i have denso iridum spark plugs which i got back in 09 but these are supposed to last 100k which i know i haven't exceeded. Now i looked at posts that talk about idling but my problem is only after i shut off the car and try restarting it, once its running it runs normally. Could this be a bad injector maybe that stays open and by letting it sit there it allows the fuel to evaporate ? bad fuel filter? although it was replaced 4 months ago?? Any suggestions and input is highly appreciated. Thanks

so i think i figuired it out, my ignition has play and sometimes the fuel pump doesnt come on, the car starts but since it only has the fuel left in the lines it dies right away. Another problem i found was the egr might be clogged so im going to replace that and seafoam that sucker clean

I wonder if my Evap canister being gone is causing my issues.1995 SE All stock KA24DE except ebay exhaust and missing Evap can. I bought it that way and recently doing the same thing as yours too. Did you ever clean that EGR and did it help? Wouldn't a clogged EGR be the same as having an EGR block off plate?

How hard is it to replace the Coolant Temp Sensor?

I am 90 percent sure its you're coolant temp sensor as you describe by your problem. This will cause running rich at idle and occasional rpm variance. If this is not the case I would say weak fuel pump. Hope you solve the problem

BadIntention- replacing the coolant temp sensor is fairly easy and is located next to the upper radiator hose near the intake manifold. If replacing the sensor is not the issue I would suggest cleaning the Evap cansister, replacing the fuel filter and or fuel pump, cleaning air filter and throttle body.

Thanks man I'm going to replace it, check for vacuum leaks, clean my throttlebody, reset my ecu and give her good 3 day period to see if it is gone or comes back.

Would my car run real rich or bad if I installed a Walboro 255 lph fuel pump? Imma search more just curious.

mystery fuel pump problem in my nissan patrol... help!!!!!!!!!

I guess its between coolant temp sensor or fuel pump problem... Check this two i guess you need to replace one of these..
One of the most vital component of your vehicle, the fuel pump, is a device used to pump the fuel from the fuel tank to the engine or fuel injection system.
My car nissan patrol stopped working thought problem was immobilizer so disconnected immobilizer system car was still not working and no fuel pump noise, so replaced fuel pump with new unit still no noise so checked fuel pump connection with test light and power was there thought there might be problem with fuel pump assembly, so connected to battery and fuel pump ran beautifully. Went to rear of vehicle again checked pump with test light once again power was there, connected fuel pump assembly and fuel pump once again not running. I have no idea what the problem is either does my brother he is across the state my brother thought it may be the body module after he suggested the other tests over the phone. Could any one possibly help me with this problem my brother is stumped and i am 17 and i cant afford to get an auto electrician........ can somebody help me..????????

GU nissan patrol
