Model car paint shouldn't be used on your car. It's really not that hard to understand- it's not UV resistant nor is it intended for this kind of application. Candy additive to clearcoat is the only permanent solution and the only one that will look OEM. And resealing lenses to housings with clear silicone caulking is a terrible idea.

I chose to use industrial sign vinyl simply because I knew it could be easily removed and could withstand the elements. If you want to do it this way go to a local sign shop and you will be able to source it.

I hear John Liquefatto at Christian Kustomz does an excellent job at tinting tails. He seemed really into it and showed me his tinting supplies while I was lucky enough to be inside his shop... Too bad I'm banned from the shop for life now
