I'm well aware that the upper exhaust manifold is completely different between the SOHC and DOHC. But what about the lower pipe (up to the last cat)? Should I be able to bolt a lower pipe from an E to a DE?

The pipes have different part numbers but the heat shields, gaskets, etc. are all the same, I would bet on it being compatible, at least S13 to S13. Won't work with the S14 precat stuff obv
