Watched Stein's gate this past week, defiantly in my top 5. First 2 episodes i was like whats going on here then after the 3rd i was hooked i love these types of animes.

Currently finishing the last couple episodes of Gungrave then onto Durarara!!

looking back at beck, someone else already mentioned it. But Koyuki had a pretty average voice. He is supposed to have this world changing voice but I thought it was average at best and sounded pretty meh when he was singing in english. I am sure they could have found someone to do the singing that was better then that. maybe yama-b?

seed was good but had way too much crying for me, surprised the gundams didnt start crying at one point or another, seed destiny had that and lots of recap eps. 00 was good but the movie felt rushed a bit towards the end

0083, turn a, or gundam x for me

Universal Century stuff was good, all the other alternate universes seem to just rip off on the original concept/story.

Actually, it's worse, 00 felt like a Gundam Wing rip off, which was a Gundam 079 rip off in its self-

The only thing the newer shows have going for them is better animation and visuals, but the characters, mechs designs, music and story's generally suck and are easily forgettable.

Stardust Memory and Char's Counterattack were some of the first
anime I watched some decades ago
even though I'm over my mecha phase for the most part
I still have fond memories of those two

Wing and double oo are like the same story from the opposite perspective.

In wing they are freedom fighters doing the will of the people.

In Double OO they are very clearly terrorists fighting for their own beliefs and agenda.

I enjoyed seeing the same themes done in different times.

pretty much all of the full gundam tv series's are the og gundam storyline just recycled even the new unicorn is pretty much the same basic story line...

so true. Ohhh look I live in a space colony and not a care in the world. Ohh noes it's under attack and I can pilot this giant killing machine for no good reason. Now I'm sad because I killed someone in another giant killing machine. they all seem to start like that except for a few.

I must admit, I REALLY like the idea of newtypes. They could lose the reluctant pilot and terrorist/freedom fighter stuff though.

I liked that in 0083 he was already in the military and WANTED to pilot the Gundam.

I am currently waiting for new blue lagoon...how could you not make more of that shit?

Just finished Bakuman and Black Lagoon 1&2. Both highly recommended.

I watched all three seasons of Natume Yuujichou with my girlfriend recently as well. Not too bad.

I read the entire manga after watching the first episode. She gets WAY worse as the series goes on and you start to see who she is.

Who has watched the Trigun movie?

Spoiler alert.

I was really upset by how in the movie it seems that Wolfwood is better than Vash when he gets the upper hand on him. Do not get me wrong, I like Wolfwood, but he is not supposed to be better than Vash, ever. On top of that, Vash gets shot by some random guy later on, due to being careless. What an insult.

I still cannot sleep at night over it.

Speaking of series' I never finished watching... Deathnote! I left off years ago as soon as Near and Mello were introduced. I recently started the whole series all over so it would be fresh in my mind & I have like 6 episodes left. And this is all I have to say about that show:
