I plan on doing somthing similar, I got a stock S14 muffler and gonna put a cut out right after the subframe for when i go on long drives to Alabama

yeah it pretty loud but its not that bad inside the cabin, at least on a full interior S14.

Not sure on the model they had in in the clearance section for $100 cuz the top mount was damaged in shipping.

So ive been having a random issue with a misfire/Rich condition, Im thinking its the CTS cuz my DIF controller is not working correctly,

But Drove great all day.

I pull codes and Got a Code "21 Ignition Signal". Anybody know what this exactly relates to? CAS or Ignitior? I have an Extra Ignitior, So that would be awesome if that was the problem.


UPDATE

Changed the Ignitor out and now I got a Code 54 witch is a "A/T Control"

Anybody know whats up with that?

Well so i replaced it last night, threw that A/T code (didnt drive it last night) It starts alot better though now,

Fired it up this morning and the code is gone, Drove like a champ for an hour.

So I think I fixed it ^_^

ECU is from a Manual though, I ran the P/N through FAST

O I forgot to add that using the extension on the valve cover breather pipe worked really good took me about 5 min for the whole procedureI see that you have one of the hoses for your breather/catch can is hooked up to the stock inlet on the turbo inlet hose, why not have the other hose vent under your car? Are you experiencing any smoke during acceleration with current setup?

Cuz the crank case needs Neg. Crank case pressure to help seal the piston rings and helps with drive ability.
Thats how it is set up stock as well minus the OCC.

No smoke or anything


Alright so im probably gonna end up replacing all the electronic components with new ones MAFS, CAS, CTS

Cuz I fired it up, drove it for 5 mins then it shut down, Got code 21 again.....
Cleared code, Checked all connections, tired starting the car for like 10 mins, it would fire once then shut down,

Shits and gigs I unpluged the MAFS and it fired right up! reved fine but running in safe mode so while the engine idling I plugged the MAFS back it it initially stumbled but began idling fine and reved fine hell even drove fine and started fine since then.... weird


UPDATE: Turns out it was the MAFS, I put another one in there and havent had an Issue since

Do you have stock coilpacks? Most idle problems on RB motors can be attributed to the stock coilpacks,so if your planning buy new cas,maf,cts I would pickup a set of coils. I asked this old guy that has a local shop who before used to work for nissan japan and was part of the pit crew mechanics for the 1960's skyline gtr's and he said the first thing we had people do when they purchased the R33 GTS and GTR was to replace coilpacks along with adding additional grounds for the ignition system.

I dont think its an issue with Coil packs cuz like I said it drives fine and when i unplugged the MAFS it fired right up with no misfire....
I might look into some split Fires though

yea one of my friends told me he though he saw my car on zilvia with a rb in it, well sure enough

yea bought a pretty much stock s13 about 2-3 months ago and been putting in alotta work in it

its like a 8 hour drive for me but i had a blast last time i went

id like to make some drift trips up there next year sometime

Yeah, ig uess you got it worse than me for MW. Do you tow your chassis? I always have to drive mine to there.

I need to as well, its been awhile since Ive been, My S13 was down for a while due to electrical issues but now I need a new Rack and Pinion and a new LSD. :/




Little RB update.

Engine runs like a champ after I fixed the missing ground on the Coil pack harness, the torn Injector O-Ring and the dirty MAFS lol.

I got around to wiring up the Speedo and turns out I didnt have to re-calibrate it. According on my GPS the speedo reads 1-2MPH faster which is fine for me.
Maybe it a magical combo of a Series 1 RB into a Kouki?

this is at Lonestar Bash in May of this year

but right now im towing the s13 everywhere, :/

I got a buddy with a Z33, wishes he had more power, plus i think you could build a RB S14 for cheaper with a little more power than the Z33.

Im loving the RB, I got so many compliments on how awesome it sounds, and its just running straight pipes
