why did you choose me to quote? anyways this whole thread is about what ethnicity you are. The only problem i have with saying "i'm american" is that there's no such culture as american culture. it's a metling pot of a world, people are confused and dont know their truu hertiage and where they are from. i guess the point of the term "African American" was to stop discrimination against them..it's like they are african ethnicity but americans also and should be treated equally. IMO they have been through so much BS in this country that i think it's left up to them how they want to be labeled...cause let's face it everyone gets labeled.

a guy tried to start a "northern european appreciation" club when i was in high school.. he got beat up by the black guys at my school. but. i think its kinda sad how in america you aren't allowed to have a culture unless your'e a traditional minority.
ie: "what nationality are you?" "Im Sicilian and French" "oh.. so you're white?" "no.. im sicilian and french."

yeah i wanna start some kind of european american club at my college, just to see what happens. there are already various things that go on like african american graduation, korean students association, filipino club, chinese christians, mecha, but nothing for the europeans. i feel so left out

europeans are a minority at my school too. like 25%. 35% is asian, 15% african, 15% hispanic, 10% middle eastern, something like that

in my computer science classes, it's more like 50% indian from india, 30% asian from asia, 19% asian american, and then me

FULL Japanese. Im a Nisei (2nd generation), speak the language. can consider myself "Japanese-American". same shit wtvrs.
