Thank you!!!!!!! I checked out the online parts catalog for a local Nissan dealer and didn't see anything. I see now they have it in the Body-Electrical section haha

Thats an sr20 right? Isn't that for the bracket for the throttle cable? Theres only one ground bolt like right under the throttle cable bracket, your gonna wanna ground it to the strut. Seriously though if theres a ground you can run it anywhere, the chassis the ground post, etc
Nevermind, I just realized thats the back of the plenum |

Sorry, yes it's an sr. I'm trying to figure why it's grounded to the chassis when it's basicslly grounded on the engine (like in the picture). The problem I'm having is that every time I try to start the car (new swap), the engine would crank and if I hold down the key long enough, that wire would get hot. But iirc, one time I didn't ground it and the engine didn't crank at all.

You need to have a ground running to the chassis, or else the car won't run correctly ( or sometimes not at all), i had that issue when i rebuilt and swapped an sr into my 89. The car will come stock with a chassis ground, which you need to have bolted to the ground bolt, ( under the throttle cable) you also might want to run some extra ground wires from this to the strut. If the car is not correctly grounded, your gauges will flicker, and the car will have issues starting, running etc.
Is this a new swap? have you ever started the car? --If not make sure you follow the swap guide on frsport closely,( i forgot to swap the plugs near the battery tray when i did mine and it would turn but not start). Also as a last resort, if your wiring is still screwed up, you could always just buy a wiring specialties harness |

Car hasn't started yet and yea it's a new swap. I have followed the FRSport guide and I have the chassis grounded, not to the ground bolt under the throttle cable but on the strut tower for now. Only thing giving me trouble is that one ground wire that keeps getting hot.

Here-------
Thats what it should look like stock, you shouldn't have had to do anything to it (unless it came all screwed up). It links into the harness that runs along the rail Last edited by kashira kureijii; 04-07-2015 at 04:58 PM.. Reason: link was busted |

Chrome plating? Location? Unless you don't care about shipping.
In Southern California (more specifically L.A. area), there are two shops called VR Wheels and Wheel Flip; they seem to be pretty good companies. Never have done work with either but have seen their work, and my buddy got a set of wheels rebarreled at Wheel Flip. I'm planning on going to Wheel Flip to chrome plate my wheels. |

In the Chicago area. I was thinking of getting some Battles and having them dropped shipped and plated (saving out bound shipping). Some places I've seen the chrome is more then the wheels.... |

Need someone with an '89 or '90 S13 that has power options to check for this capped-off connector in the engine bay opening right next to the battery tray. I borrowed a picture from NICOclub (forgive me) for reference. I've seen this before on '91+ cars but can't find it on my '89. Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah, that's what it seems to be like, unfortunately. Wheel Flip quoted me like $540 for mine. Gotta pay to play!

I have to massage the inside of the strut towers on the rear of my s14 to fit the bag setup. Will I run into any issues with the fuel pump/tank on the passenger side? It's just like 1/2in. Of clearance I need, nothing crazy.
Thanks! |

New to 240's and looking at possibly getting a 1991 with a 2jzge. I know my trade is definately worth a solid 5000. I wanna make sure this is a fair trade, here it is....http://greensboro.craigslist.org/cto/4959774064.html.
Also im assuming the hood is spaced like that for air flow and can be put back ?? |

The hood could be spaced because the intake doesnt clear. Seems like a decent car though. Make sure you check over everything pretty well and look out for rigged wiring and stuff

Got my ka24det running again and was just curious to see, what should my car be idling at? It starts cold at 1500 which is normal on all cars but once its warm it sits between 900-1000. Isnt that a bit high? Shouldnt it be around 750 but since its a turbo could that some how cause it to idle higher since more air in the system?

For those of you running on RS Enthalpy tunes did you need to back timing off and if so how much on a T28 with 10 PSI? Also if running colder spark plugs do you still gap them shorter than stock 0.44? For a KA24DE motor.

Call Martin and talk to him. You'll get more information than you are asking, but it will be worth your time. Seriously. Call him

You'll get used to it. Dude says his car isn't fast too. I bet a solid tune and it will be fast or give it a big 30 series turbo.

Does anyone know if there's any issue running the bottom coilover locking collar underneath the mounting fork, rather than on top?
See the pic, for reference: The very bottom collar, can that be mounted below the piece labeled 1C, rather than on top? |

I guess you could if you really wanted. Don't see a reason as to why though. also not all coils are threaded through the entire shock body
