New version SPL brake cooling air deflectors

Just an update for our customers -- I just got a new batch of our brake cooling deflectors made up, the new and improved version features a bottom lip for increased cooling and better fit/finish (no more sharp edges!). Fits our SPL v2 tension rods only. Pricing remains at $30/pair!

I need a new set of these, my cherry picker banged the last set i had up real good when i was pulling the motor. The only thing with this is the last version was real easy to bend up and get out of the way for extra ground clearance, because my chuki lip sits about 1.75 inches from the ground. With the bottom lip bent up i wonder if it will allow more ground clearance without taking away the functionality of the duck.

The new deflectors have 1.5" more ground clearance than the previous version. We found that it was not really necessary to have the the deflectors so low, the new deflectors match up better to most rotors (14" size or smaller).

Also the new version is still aluminum, so it is still pretty easy to cut/modify.

They should not need it, but with all the different brake caliper and brake line setups, it is impossible to make it work for all. So as part of the installation, just turn the wheel lock to lock to check for any interference, and trim as necessary.

They normally do not come with bolts to mount on the tension rods, since those are included with the tension rods. But if you request them at the time of order I can include the bolts.

They just need out tension rods for them to work, but you do have to secure the deflectors to the lower arms. On the stock lower arms you just have to drill a small hole for the provided bolt/nut:

These brake deflectors mount on specifically designed mounting holes machined onto our SPL v2 tension rods only, so it will not fit any other tension rods.

It is to secure the deflectors to the lower arm. On some lower arms (eg. 92+ 300ZX) there is an attachment there to bolt the deflector on, otherwise we recommend drilling a small hole and attaching the deflector using the supplied nuts & bolts.
