The ratings for FD did not increase because of the v8 swap, but only because drifting is getting more and more main stream. The notion of "look at me I am better then you" comes mostly from the v8 owners who care.

Nah, they're just a bunch of sell outs. Destroying the roots just as long as they could keep their nose higher. They also like to do ghetto things to their car just as long as they could win. Ghetto things are: -10/+10 degrees of camber, lifting their cars higher then stock.
